Made from durable premium quality acrylic plastic and laser cut for a smooth edge that allows for easier deeper cutting of fabric layers. This ruler was design for use with rotary cutters and straight edge blades. Featuring right and left handed numbering and angle system and diagonal lines for triangle cuts. Great size for making tiny 'gross mess' quick pickup napkins out of absorbent scrap fabric. (Cut two, stitch wrong sides together leaving a small gap on one side, turn inside out, and topstitch.) People with cats/small dogs/small children/greasy gunky hobbies might see the use in a few stacks of these. Dish washing liquid is often a simple way to soak out whatever you got on these.
Also an easy way to set tiny pattern pieces on a fabric bias, and handy for drafting quick gussets. (Underarm movement in tight RTW, adding to a pattern, etc.) Grips nicely without tearing delicate fabrics. Seems to work almost as well on paper (like for origami), but with a bit more slippage.
Hole for hanging is small (probably a good thing) so if using a command hook, use the wire versions. Obviously, the ruler marks are useful in cramped spaces, where a flexible measuring tape doesn't work. seem to be quite accurate.

Omnigrip is my go-to brand of rulers, period. I have others from trial and error, but once I found omnigrip, there was no comparison. First you can see through them better than any other ruler, therefore, less mistakes. Second, the markings on them are so easy to read anyone can use them. They come in so many great sizes and shapes. This one is the 5 inch, which I use for quilting of course. It is non slip which is wonderful, fabric is very expensive, it is tragic when rulers slip and you cut wrong and the non slip rulers just eliminate that for you. I very much recommend this ruler and Omnigrip rulers

Just what I ordered. Love it. Makes squaring up my qiult blocks a cinch. Arrived quickly. Can tell no difference between non-slip squares and regular squares. They both slip just a little if not careful.

This is an extremely easy ruler to use when quilting. I used it to square off several things. I used it to make nice neat marks and this kept my quilt from being lopsided or off center. I plan to use it for many more projects to come!
