We've been using these mounts for years. They are excellent, so when we purchased additional speakers we also purchased additional mounts.

We were concered at first that they would damage the speaker somehow, but the first set of speakers have been mounted for 9 years now (30lb mounts), with the second set up for almost a year (60lb mounts) with no problems. Once tightened and in place you can go back and loosen the ball and reset the placement if necessary. We've never had a problem with them coming loose or moving on their own, they are still as stable as the day we mounted them. Excellent product!

I was skeptical that this design could handle my 28 lbs bookshelf speakers, but they seem to work. Some advise... the instructions don't tell you which end of the bracket is the top. at first glance it does not appear to make a difference, but there is a subtle size difference between the top and bottom of the portion of the bracket that mounts to the wall. this difference accomodates the plastic cover that sheilds the bracket. So be sure to put the smaller end at the top. I ended up installing mine upside down.

Also, you will find it hard to find the correct hardware to attache the hardware to your speaker. the bracket takes 5/16 bolts, but the recessed head is too small to accomodate bolts that size, so I had to use 1/4 inch bolts that had a smaller head.
