Perhaps poppier than their debut but still top notch,

Everest is a bunch of skilled musicians who have been a part of various famous bands for tours and albums and etc. Their music on their own reflects alt-americana with Beatley moments amongst some Wilco kind of jangly'ness.
To put it more simply. It is good music and music you will enjoy if you dig this sort of fare. I saw them open for Matt Costa and really enjoyed their performance. They can play solid rock and move off into a nice mellow scene. Versatility is an absolute strength of their and this album showcases it to a fine level. Perhaps they'll never quite catch their break and make it huge but they will have me as a fan for as long as they put out music.

A rare band,

Saw these guys live in Pasadena in June 2010, never heard of them prior. I go to a lot of concerts, taste rooted in blues-rock-folk and creative permutations thereof and fondness for insightful song writing and proficient musicianship. These guys are right in the vein. I gave them a standing ovation, and can't recall last time I did that. Good stuff.

Everest is a band that you will always love and likely never forget. They will stay with you from the time you find them until your last memories leave you. Its very simple really, those of you that have heard them know this already and are agreeing, and those of you that have not heard them will agree when you do hear them. If you choose not to try them right now, that is fine, they will most certainly find you again at another time, there won't be regrets just a comfort you always hoped for.
