Music from Another Age,
By
This review is from: On Border Radio 1939 2 (Audio CD)
I bought this before reading about the early Mexican radio stations, and their ability to power across the border and introduce America to music it wasn't hearing in too many other places. The sound is amazing for its age. The acetate discs of the day were meant for only a few plays, and many of the discs were used as roof shingles by Mexicans after stations like XERA unloaded them, rather than preserving them for posterity. At least a few have survived, and these are awesome. I hope to own all 3 one day. A.P. quit the act at some point in '39, but seems to be on all 3 of these discs.

This was a present for my dad who actually saw the Carter Family boy. He has loved the music.
