2010 album from the Australian singer and actor. On Broadway sees Campbell interpreting a host of beloved musical theatre songs on record for the first time. The album combines songs from hit shows in which David has starred (Les Miserables, Company, Guys & Dolls,Carousel) with songs from other hit musicals (Oklahoma!, Hello, Dolly!, Chicago, On The Town), and even a world premiere recording from a forthcoming show by Hairspray writers Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.

9. You'll Never Walk Alone
10. Proud Lady
11. Luck Be a Lady
12. What Kind of Fool Am I?

I've been a fan of David Campbell for several years, since he first hit America's shores, probably now over 10 years ago. He was, and is, in possession of a great "Broadway" voice and very charismatic. I've seen him in cabarets and on the stage, and he is a commanding presence in either venue. When he went home to Australia, it was certainly disappointing, as it seemed he would be a fixture on Broadway for years to come. Therefore, it is good to see him return, particlarly with a CD of Broadway songs. I loved the CD. His voice is richer than ever and I hope he will again stay awhile.

A fine albulm, but David Campbell is more suited to Swing - cabaret.
Does a fine rendition of Oh What A Beautiful Mornin'and What Kind Of Fool Am I?
The other tracks are done in a workmanlike manner but in my opinion just failed to catch the embodiment of the original Broadway hits. My imagination could not be taken back the the stage productions.
Still happy to have this albulm as it shows another facet of David's work and musical versatility.

Good interpretation of the songs performed. Enjoyable and will provide many listenings. Worthwhile collection of a variety of broadway tunes.

Australian singer David Campbell has never reached the levels of appreciation he deserves in the United States. This album of Broadway hits is as good as anybody's and better than most.
