I am giving this a high ranking because 1). The drum intro that starts this off, it does, in fact, sound as though the drummer was affected by cocaine. 2) The rest doesn't disappoint. A 4 without the overt Sully Erna affect...it almost sounds like the same guy, CD issue comes with a straw.

I really enjoying this album. Cocaine Moustache's debut album "On the Mirror" is a blend of hard rock/metal (acts such as Motorhead and Chrome Division come to mind) with a strong blues influence (like early Danzig). I almost marked the album down to four stars because the first song, The Drip, reminds me of the frantic/manic style of System of a Down (a band I really don't like) for the first half of the song. The lyrics of the songs focus on drugs/alcohol, sex, and atheism in about that order. This album celebrates getting wasted, having a blast, and doing your own thing. I think people who like the previously mentioned bands, as well as AC/DC, ZZ Top, and Jackyl will enjoy this album. Overall I thought this was a really cool album and I'm looking forward to future releases.
