Trombone stand,
This review is from: On-Stage Stands Trombone Stand
I purchased this trombone stand because of its cheap price, rather than spending $70 for a nice one. I have a Bach large bore trombone with an F attachment and the stand just isn't sturdy enough. It hasn't fallen over on me or anything but it just doesn't feel strong supporting the extra weight of the F attachment. For a small bore / student trombone it works fine. I tried my old trombone on the stand and it does the job well. It really depends on what kind of trombone it will hold.If you spent thousands of dollars on a nice trombone, I would recommend investing another $50 for a top-of-the-line stand to protect your instrument.

I've had one of these stands about 4 years. I've used it for small bore and tenor-F horns without a problem. When I first got it, I adjusted it to hold both size horns, and when I take it to a gig or rehersal, just fold the legs down and don't touch anything else. At that point, it's the same length as my trombone case and carry both in the same hand. The footprint is not quite as large as my old Hamilton, but has not been a problem. The cons... 1 if you remove your horn quickly, the spring on top can make a lot of noise (like a pogo stick, boing boing) which was heard in the audience during a quiet string passage. And 2 if the floor is not level, your horn will rotate and bang the slide into a leg. Neither of these happened with my Hamilton, but this is less than half the weight and easier to carry. Overall... good stand, I like it.

On-Stage Stands Trombone Stand. This a great durable stand for a Trombone. It was easy to assemble and fits the trombone perfectly. The trombone stand has some metal and plastic part. One must take care as not to over tighten the screws.

The stand breaks down easily with few knobs. It holds up my small bore tenor without a problem and I don't have any worries about it falling. Very adjustable.
