4.0 out of 5 stars Bari Sax Stand
The On-Stage bari stand is very substantial and reduces down to a manageable size for carrying to practice sessions and gigs. The reason I didn't give it five stars is that I discovered it's made more for low A bari's than low Bb models which is apparent from the positioning of the lower cradle. Low Bb bari's do not reach all the way to that cradle which means having to...

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay, not great. You get what you pay for.
Not bad, not good either. I've had this stand for a few years. This has served for a Yamaha 61 pro model bari for lots of rock and blues gigs with raucous fans--its been knocked over only a couple times, and would have been on ANY stand. Still, this stand definitely marred the surface of the horn under the bell a bit, but I'm as much at fault for not taking the time to...

The On-Stage bari stand is very substantial and reduces down to a manageable size for carrying to practice sessions and gigs. The reason I didn't give it five stars is that I discovered it's made more for low A bari's than low Bb models which is apparent from the positioning of the lower cradle. Low Bb bari's do not reach all the way to that cradle which means having to be extra careful not to bang the bari bell on the stand, and it decreases the stability of the instrument when in the stand.

A somewhat simple fix for this is to drill a mounting hole for the cradle about three inches above its current position and move it up. However, it would be better if the stand manufacturer provided one or two mounting hole options for the lower cradle to overcome this, the only, issue I have with their product.

On the other hand, low A bari owners should have no problem with it.

This has served for a Yamaha 61 pro model bari for lots of rock and blues gigs with raucous fans--its been knocked over only a couple times, and would have been on ANY stand. Still, this stand definitely marred the surface of the horn under the bell a bit, but I'm as much at fault for not taking the time to better protect it. The only negative of the stand is that the tension bolts are difficult to adjust, and are too small to get enough tension on the support riser. Still, for what I paid for it, I'm not complaining.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not recommend this company, January 14, 2011

I purchased a musical instrument stand and it came with a missing part. I sent a note to the company over six weeks ago and they never responded.

I will no longer purchase equipment online from a company that does not value customer satisfaction.
