Excellent for the multiple-guitar owner,

This is a well built, durable guitar stand. I have a guitar and two bass guitars and I needed a stand which was space efficent. So I bought this one with the hope that it would save me space, and it did! I am very pleased with this stand. I recommend it to all multiple-guitar owners and the like. It provides you with space and options. If you get bored with one guitar, just rotate the stand and play the other one. Excellent buy!

First - a note about guitar stands in general:
When I first got my acoustic I didn't know how important it was to have a guitar stand - I just stored my guitar in its case. What I didn't realize at that time was that despite my best intentions, a guitar stored in a case doesn't get played... A helpful brother-in-law who's been playing for most of his life told me I really needed to get a stand and keep my guitar on it, and I must admit this small change has greatly contributed to my ability to just pick up the guitar and play. Your mileage may vary, but for me this stand was an important accessory! About this specific guitar stand: This is a nice dual-guitar stand, I've got a large acoustic which is very light, and a Les Paul copy which is very heavy, and yet the stand never seems unbalanced or unsturdy. I was also a little concerned the tops of the headstocks would hit each other (the tops of the guitars angle toward each other on this stand) but that turned out not to be a problem, provided the top of the stand (which holds the necks) is raised to the top of the center pole. The only "negative" about this stand would be the rubber "straps" which are supposed to hold the guitar neck in place are about worthless - I tried to use them a couple of times and gave up. First, it's not really needed (gravity is all you need) and second, they are very difficult to put on and take off. My advice - just ditch them and if you have a real $5,000 Les Paul you want to make sure doesn't fall out of stand, use a Velcro strap or something around the top tongs of the stand - or get a wall hook. For everyone else, this stand is great - the guitar is not falling out and is a lot easier to pick up and play than if it was stored in a case.

This is a solid stand for 2 guitars. Is is stable whether there are 1 or 2 instruments on it. You have to be careful when placing the second guitar on it or the tuning heads will collide and could scratch each other. If you set the neck support in a high position this problem is pretty much avoided. Overall I am pleased with it, and given what's out there, I'd buy it again if I needed another one.

Sturdy and easy to assemble. Saves space as well. When putting the two guitars (or whatever else you play) on the stand, the heads might hit each other. But the fact that the bottom support 'swivel's' or 'rotates' fixes that problem. Love the stand :)

Better for guitars than basses,

I have multiple electric basses and prefer to have several "out in the open" so I can switch back and forth on different basses when I'm practicing or playing with my band. It's an easy stand to put together and serves its purpose just fine. My only criticism, which isn't much of a criticism, is this is better suited for guitars than basses. When I have two basses on this I have to have them positioned almost totally upright to the point where at least one of them is almost about to tip forward out of the stand. If I lean them at more of an angle, the headstocks of the basses hit each other. Other than that minor criticism, it's a fine double guitar stand and is an excellent space-saver.

The stand came on time and well packaged. The fit and finish was very good. It assembled very quickly as the pieces were all well designed and thought out. It feels robust. All the areas that are in contact with the guitars finish are padded. The main thing is to wait and adjust the height of the neck supports after your guitars are in the rack. If it is set to low you can't put two guitars back to back as they will lean back too far and run into each other. As you bring the neck support up, the angle of the guitars changes to more up right. If you are use to the steep angle of a single guitar stand of similar design, the more upright stance might throw you at first. Because the support angle is so steep I would use the safety straps when storing the guitars in the stand. All in all I am very happy with this stand.

I'm sure this stand is fine .. based on the reviews -- that's what I'm counting on when I purchased it as a gift for my husband. Today I opened the exterior box in order to wrap it and inside found a bunch of metal pieces (one poking through the plastic) -- no directions -- no brand information or anything. Literally a bunch of metal in a plastic bag. You can't even tell what this is based on that.. Merry Christmas -- guess what I got you? I'm really disappointed in the packaging on this.

Guitars in cases don't get played. I live in a small space and wanted both of my guitars ready. This guitar stand did the trick. The price certainly was right.

i got the OnStage GS7252B Heavy Duty Double Guitar Stand, Black as a gift for my brother's birthday. He has recently started playing and is getting serious very fast. He said that the stand was sturdy and held his electric and acoustic guitars well. The stand is sturdy and doesn't tip over when there is only one guitar on the stand at a time. He told me he was very happy with the stand.

I would highly recommend you this guitar stand if you care about your guitar. This stand is pretty heavy duty and stable. Places than you putting your guitar is soft. I place 2 guitar on it and looks really good and secure.
