Quality guitar stand,

This guitar stand feels solid and well made. The prongs that hold the guitar are padded and there's a rubber pad at the top of the stand to keep the guitar from getting scratched. It has a wide base and is very stable so your guitar wouldn't tip over easily. I liked the first one so much I bought another one!

This guitar stand fits the bill for me. It's very portable, sturdy and well padded. The feature I like best is the notched prongs - holds acoustics as well as electrics snugly.

I was looking for a small and sturdy acoustic guitar stand. This model serves my main purpose. It is sturdy and foldable. On the other hand, I would consider that it has a design flaw that could be improved. The guitar is slanted backward at an angle while being on the stand, instead of standing upright. This position creates 2 negative effects. First, the guitar and the stand together takes quite a bit of space. While the footprint of the stand is only 1 foot, the guitar has to be 2 feet away from a wall. Second, at this angle, the guitar face catches quite a bit of dust. And I suspect that more dust and dirt will enter the acoustic hole. Would I buy this stand again? Probably not because of its space hogging design.

If your looking for a well made guitar stand look no further. I have two that I use constantly from practice to gigs. When I got my first stand I was a bit apprehensive about leaving my bass on the stand because it does not appear to have any neck support but as soon as I placed it on the stand it suddenly became almost immoveable. The padding on the pegs and the triangular pad where the body touches holds your instrument without doubt, no slipping or sliding, while leaving no marks on your instrument. With the wide base it will not tip over like light weight tripod stands. Take your instrument off and put the legs together and it can be stuffed in anywhere for transport, no buttons to press, no parts to take off and lose, no hydraulics/clutches that will strip or wear out. Works great with my basses, electric guitars and acoustics.

Nice heavy duty stand but lays back at an angle,

I bought this stand primarily to store my solid body electric guitar in the corner of my bedroom. The stand is extremely well made and looks like it will accept a variety of guitar body styles. The front surface of the stand at the highest point has a substantial, dense foam pad to prevent scratching your instrument. The bars that hold the bottom of the guitar are also padded. The legs of the stand can fold in towards the centre, which reduces its profile for transport. The legs click into place when extended, making it very stable. The only down-side to this stand is that the vertical part lays back at quite an angle. For a thick-bodied guitar like an acoustic, this wouldn't matter but for a thin electric, this means that the guitar leans back at an even greater angle. The stand must therefore be situated well away from a wall, to prevent the headstock of the guitar from touching the wall. I added some thin foam padding to the bottom of the uprights so that my guitar can perch right at the back of the stand, with the back of the body flat against the uprights.

I ordered two of these- one for my husband's vintage Martin guitar, and one for my daughter's Guitar Hero guitar. It works great for both! It has good protective padding, so no scratching, and is very sturdy.

Great Design and Functionality,

I think this product is great. It is small and perfectly sized for my acoustic. Even if other products are slightly cheaper, this guitar stand is built much better and will last a lifetime.

I use this stand in my family room and love it. It is sturdy, takes minimal space, and keeps my acoustic guitar at my finger tips. It is adequately padded to protect my guitar.

Poor design, good quality,
This review is from: OnStage GS7462B Folding Guitar Stand (Electronics)
Stand came quickly and is high quality (sturdy joints). That said, the design pales in comparison to your classic upright stand with three legs. With this design, the guitar leans back anywhere from 30-45 degrees. It not only looks strange, but takes up more space.
