Revisit with Sawyer and Morgan Again, June 8, 2002
This review is from: Once And Again (Paperback)
The stories of the Buckhorn Brothers, the popular series by Lori Foster from 2000, is being reprinted in advance of the release of the much-anticipated sequel, Casey Hudson's story, called simply CASEY (currently due out in December 2002). First released is ONCE AND AGAIN: SAWYER/ MORGAN and in September will be the release of FOREVER AND ALWAYS: GABE/JORDAN.
When the Buckhorn series first came out, I snapped them up and devoured each story. I hated to see them end because they were superbly written. Lori Foster knows how to pen stories about men that are hunks and good-hearted. The Buckhorn Brothers are no exception.
First up is SAWYER Hudson: He is the eldest brother, the doctor and the patriarch of the family. Honey Malone enters his life with a splash...literally and Sawyer is immediately attracted to her. She has a secret, and Sawyer is determined to find out what it is and if possible, to help her and ends up falling in love with her. Being the head of his family and a responsible man that he is, he is not sure he can promise a future for them as a couple. Ah, but love prevails. :)
In SAWYER you meet the rest of the brothers (plus Casey) and the other citizens of Buckhorn County. In some ways, SAWYER seems too short and would have been fabulous as a longer book, but a great start to the series.
MORGAN Hudson is up next. He is the Sheriff of Buckhorn County and looks like the biggest and meanest man you will ever meet. But under his gruff exterior he is a sweetheart, especially when it comes to family and friends. Misty Malone now qualifies, as his brother Sawyer married her sister, and like her sister, came to Buckhorn County with a secret. Morgan finds out and instead of turning him off, he finds it attracts him. Misty was at first a little intimidated by Morgan, but she knows how to stand up for herself and does very well against Morgan. Unknown to Morgan, he has met his match and the love of his life. It was fun watching the big, bad Morgan fall in love and finally admit he could not live without Misty.
If you have not read their stories before, then you are in for a treat and very lucky. First of all, you get Sawyer and Morgan in one volume (later to be followed by Gabe and Jordan). Secondly, the cover for ONCE AND AGAIN is much better than the original covers. Buy both of the reissued covers, and they match when you put them together. I have never seen that before and I love the idea.
All of the stories are very warm, humorous, sensual and leave you feeling good, just like many of Ms. Foster's stories. If you have not read the Buckhorn Brother's stories before, or would like to revisit them with the new, matching covers pick up ONCE AND AGAIN: Sawyer/Morgan. I recommend the whole Buckhorn Series.

Once and Again, July 3, 2002
This review is from: Once And Again (Paperback)
Once and Again is the re-release of Sawyer and Morgan from Lori
Foster's popular Buckhorn series.
I am so glad that Harlequin has decided to re-issue the series before Casey's story comes out in December. It not only gives us a chance to re-visit with them, but fall in love with them all over again.
Sawyer Hudson, is the town doctor and the father of a teenager. He rescues Honey when she crashes her car into the lake near their house.
Honey Malone is on the run and doesn't want to bring her troubles on Sawyer and his three brothers. But Sawyer is every bit as stubborn as Honey.
In Morgan, Honey's sister Misty, comes to visit her sister's new husband and finds herself being drawn to her sister's new brother-in-law. Morgan is the town sheriff and he is going to find out what is Misty's secret.
It is fun to watch Honey and Misty's reaction to all the testesterone running around Buckhorn, Kentucky. These guys are
everything that a woman dreams of when they think of the perfect guy. Of course there is no Buckhorn, Kentucky which may be a good thing, otherwise droves of Lori Foster fans would be making a trip.

I love that family of boys., June 23, 2003
This review is from: Once And Again (Paperback)
This two part book about Sawyer and Morgan is great.
I was completely enthralled in the goings on of Sawyer and Honey. The story was passionate, heartwarming, and kept me reading.
I love that the characters are always so emotionally flawed like everyone in this world. You literally rally for them to get it together and get to the bed.
As for Morgan and Misty, I found it very tender that Morgan could be so accepting.
Of course I am addicted to all of Lori Fosters works and read them like there going out of style. But if you love romance and sex you'll love this book.
