Review
"A romance that combines adventure, danger, royalty, and intrigue,
Once Again A Princess is, above all else, a great read.
Once Again A Princess is a delight from beginning to end. The characters are engaging, the setting adds a sense of reality, and the writing is done with a masterly hand. Ms. Bierce, you and your creativity have given me a very enjoyable glimpse into a world that just might be true. Thank you! Highly Recommended" --

"Ms. Bierce has a talent for plot and backstory. She has created an entire country, with all its inherent problems and unique characteristics, and peopled it with interesting inhabitants. I liked and admired Jo; I love strong women in fiction. She was everything one would want from the ruler of a brand new country."

Jane Bierce's latest, Once Again A Princess, is a story of an American-raised Princess who takes the throne of a small postage-stamp country. The heroine - Jo Mathias - has been raised under the watchful eye of her country's representatives, but she never thought that she would be in the situation of trying to rebuild the remnants of a deposed regime. Jo's country is suffering from the ravages of communism, the discord of fighting political parties, and the threat of violence. She is faced with the monumental task of creating order from chaos, while her ministers watch in horror as their little princess yanks the reins from their waiting hands. This is no lady to sit by and watch as they create the world as they think it should be. Jo is smart and savvy, and she's not going to allow anyone to push her into a backseat role. Of course, she has Max looking out for her. He has always been there during the times she traveled as a magazine journalist. Now, he is at her side as protector, guide, and advisor. His hand is always ready to steady her step and make sure she is safe. He has ambitions of becoming General of Jo's army, but now he is beginning to see that he would do nearly anything if it would keep him close to her side. Fear for her safety often makes him seem remote, but the care and admiration could easily grow into something more passionate. The problem with this book - or E-Book, to be accurate - is that the romance stays so entirely beneath the new princess plot that it is often left in the dust. Plus, there seem to be quite a few budding romances that take up more time than the romance that is supposed to be growing between Jo and Max. The Princess Josephina would do well to take more notice of that virile, handsome man who stands so closely beside her. Once Again A Princess is just too heavy in plot. What a waste of a really attractive guy! Princess Jo is witty and entertaining! Royal and regal! An American princess takes the throne!
