Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver bring lively instrumentals and tight harmony to a mix of gospel bluegrass and other bluegrass songs. The album includes a bluegrass remake of Michael Martin Murphy's Carolina in the Pines, which is a lively toetapper.

Always a favorite at my house, this is a good addition to any bluegrass fans collection ... as are all the Doyle Lawson albums.

This CD is superb. Not only is it a great bargin (two LP's on one CD), it is true bluegrass heaven. Even though each LP has different band members under Doyle, all the songs are great. There is not a dud on either LP. The harmonies are tight and wonderful, and the vocals great. The music is also top-notched. I'd recommend this CD as highly as anyone I have ever bought. A great addition to any collection.

This is definitely one of my favorite bluegrass CDs! I first heard these songs when I was a teenager growing up in CT playing in a bluegrass band with a friend and her family. I loved this collection of songs then (especially my personal favorite - Carolina in the Pines) and I still love it today. Great mixture of gospel and bluegrass with excellent accompanying vocals, tight harmomy and first class instrument playing. A must-have for any serious fan of bluegrass music!
