I really liked it!,
This review is from: Once A Hero (Harlequin Presents) (Paperback)
From the back cover: Once she'd worn her heart on her sleeve for Matt Colter. Not now. Of course she was horrified at his kidnapping while on a Middle East assignment and glad of his release - but their marriage had gone on hold so many times while Matt flew off to trouble spots, it had never really had a chance. She'd built a satisfying new life in the years they'd been apart, with a promising new relationship. So when Matt answered, "Forever!" to her question of how long he was staying, Lesley was furious. My take: This was a totally believable and well-written character study of two people deciding to give their marriage another try. There were no contrived misunderstandings, just honest problems (some serious) to work through, and Anne McAllister made all the situations seem credible to me. The hero and heroine are thoroughly likeable people and you're rooting for them all the way, plus the two kids are likeable, also, and not the least bit "cutesy". I liked this a lot and plan on reading a lot more Anne McAllister books. |
