Great CD, Poor Production,
This review is from: Once A Jolly Swagman, Always A Jolly Swagman (Audio CD)
This CD is a compilation of Frenzal's early vinyl and demo material. It's all very good and most fans will enjoy it. Unfortunately, whoever manufactured this CD cranked up the bass in post-production. I downloaded it from eMusic.com, and purchased it hoping it was just their copy was fouled up, but the retail CD is the same way. I have a Frenzal 7" that appears on this disc, and it plays without the exaggerated bass. When I play this CD in my truck, I have to turn the bass as far down as it goes -- and that's still not enough.A great way to get ahold of some earlier Frenzal material, but because of the producution flaws, don't expect to listen to it much.

well, i cant realy say more than whats been said in previous reviews about this record but i feel I have to have my say..This album rocks..no sorry it ROCKS!ROCKS! ROCKS! ROCKS! Basicly its a comperlation of their first 3 releases (i think) and it just goes to show that FRENZAL RHOMB have been the "most punkest band in the world" since the begining. And plus they have 1 of the best bass guitarists in the world, he ROCKS to! Well if you dont own this get it....its worth it

This cd isn't their best one. I think Not so tough now is better but this one is pretty good. Some songs are really good like Chemotherapy and Genius. Dugadugabowbow is really funny. Overall a decent CD. Go see them at the Warped Tour this year!!!!

I agree with the guys review who's is above mine. this is a very good album, the songs don't really grow on you. and this is a very hard album to find. i haven't ever seen any of Frenzal Rhomb's ablums at any store here in MN. I got mine at a show they had at Warped tour. Oh yea, if you ever get the chance to see them live don't pass it up. you'll have missed out big time

Whoa, watch out punk rockers cause I believe this is "The punkest band of all time!" I heard one song by Frenzal Rhomb just a little over a year ago and I have been searching for a cd ever since. Congenital cd stores just don't cut it when it comes to finding cd's by this band. I guess they hail from Melborne Australia or something like that...they had a copy of this European release, which is basically a compliation of Sorry About the Ruse (1994), and Coughing Up A Storm (1995). A grand total of 24 tracks. Each track dishes out pure unadultered punk. From the pop punk stylings of tracks like "run", to more old school school punk songs like "you're ok." Frenzal Rhomb proves itself as a well rounded punk band by breaking the meintony that is so profound in most punk albums. Out of the 24 tracks on this cd, not one runs dry. On my grand scale of nothingness, I'd have to give "Once a jolly swagman, always a jolly swagman" a nine. I don't know if it's one of those "grow me" cd's that gets better the more you listen to it, but its got that potential. Since this is a european release, I don't know how easy it is to find, I think I just got lucky. Find it, it rocks! "He's a Genius...
