4.0 out of 5 stars an album that brings along an aroma of nostalgic refinement
I listened to this record as soon as it was released last year. It didn't come up what I expected, but with Bosé things often reveal themselves in a manner other than we thought they would. That's what his charm is all about. His versions of "La belleza"(Beauty) and "Causas y azares"(Odds and Reasons)are, if not the top of the world, the next...

3.0 out of 5 stars So,so...
I recommend listening to it before purchasing. I've been a fan for years and I feel a bit let down. "El Amor Despues" and, especially, "Usted Abuso" and "Alfonsina y el Mar" are the true jewels of the production. The rest basically drag, even though some of the lyrics have great potential. Some of the songs were written by acclaimed,...

I listened to this record as soon as it was released last year. It didn't come up what I expected, but with Bosé things often reveal themselves in a manner other than we thought they would. That's what his charm is all about. His versions of "La belleza"(Beauty) and "Causas y azares"(Odds and Reasons)are, if not the top of the world, the next best thing. He misses the point in "Alfonsina y el mar"(Alfonsina and the Ocean),though.A song which tells so tragic a story should be aproached with bare strength. To be noted that his cover of Argentine singer Fito Páez's hit "EL amor después del amor"(Love after Love)surpasses the original.Only for those whose tastes are to be regarded solely as exquisite.

5.0 out of 5 stars Me quito el sombrero con este cd., January 28, 2004
This review is from: Once Maneras De Ponerse Un Sombrero (Audio CD)
WIth this CD, Bose covers several other writers. If I were to pick a favorite, the first would be the Fito Paez (Argentina) one: El amor despues del amor (Crank it up!); followed by "Usted abuso". Celia Cruz (Cuba) used to sing this last one too. Solo pienso en ti was sung by Guillermo Davila (Venezuela) but Bose does an awesome cover. This cd is a must have!

4.0 out of 5 stars Miguel como interprete, March 17, 2001

My only encounter with Sr. Bose was a music video flashing as I cable surfed past a latin music videos. I was taken with this handsome man, and also with his very interesting music. My Spanish/French is only bastante bien, but I know what I like!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great versions // Grandiosas Versiones, July 4, 2000
This review is from: Once Maneras De Ponerse Un Sombrero (Audio CD)

This eleven songs chossen by Miguel Bosé, shows once again the versatility of this singer and songwriter, who takes over songs as beautiful as "Ne me quitte pas", "El amor después del Amor" y "Alfonsina y el mar". In despite of the critics Bosé have got for this album, it is still one of my favorites, for its impecable and unique sound, as deep and sensual as Miguel Bosé himself.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Jewel!!, July 9, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Once Maneras De Ponerse Un Sombrero (Audio CD)
A masterpiece!! I prefer songs written by Miguel Bosè, but this album has everything you expect to see (in this case, listen)in a great singer. He choose the tracks very well, the only one that I don't like is "Usted Abusó". I was born in Brazil, but this Brazilian song is horrible. It's better in Miguel Bosè's voice, but stills bad to me. Anyway, the rest of the album is precious, buy it!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ahora, jo soy el fan numero uno de Miguel!, April 28, 1999

This is a fantastic album. I live in San Diego and listen to Mexican radio to learn Spanish and began to feel ripped-off if I didn't catch a song from Miguel Bosé at least once every two days. Now I feel spoiled to be able to hear him at will. I plan to aquire the rest of his albums as soon as possible.
