Being a cross between Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, Trijntje has the voice as well as the soul. She comes from a group in the Netherlands call 'Total Touch'. Unfortunately, this is her only import into America of 3 albums of which I know, but what a brilliant export. She brings great power to these timeless Stevie Wonder tracks. Enjoy!!

What a voice, that Dutch Trijntje Oosterhuis, and what splendid (Dutch) musicians accompany her (great drums/bass, great sax/trumpet, great backing voice, etc.) I can say this is a fine collection of & tribute to Stevie Wonder songs. In the old days I bought at least 6 LP's of Stevie. Just collecting them again on CD and bumped into this Trijntje... and my-oh-my.... really: As good, on occassions even better, than the original (sorry Sevie !). Splendid new arrangements and small funky/funny musical tricks ! I just ordered this CD, after hearing it at friends, and DO want my own. Strange to say, that I have to order this (import) CD in the USA (living in holland myself): hard to get over here, so I tried the good old Amazon, smile .

Trijntje Oosterhuis proves with cd again that she the best singer of the world. On this album she sings the songs of stevie wonder. Trijntje has sang some songs even better that Stevie did years ago. On this album she shows how much Trijntje can do with her great voise. Al the tracks are a pleasure to listen to. They really entertain you. I know it for sure, we will hear more from her!

TRIJNTJE (TRAIN-CHA) IS FROM ANOTHER PLANET, ACTUALLY JUST FROM ANOTHER CONTINENT, BUT DEFINITELY, EVERY SONG IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. I WOULD NOT ONLY RECOMMEND HER BUT WOULD HAPPILY BUY EVERYBODY A CD AND THEN A COMPLETE ROUND OF DRINKS TO CELEBRATE THE EXTRAORDINARY SENSE OF SUCH A MAGNIFICENT ARTIST.

Don't doubt what others are saying here. This woman has the most amazing voice you may ever hear. I can't really compare her to anyone but the best I can describe her is Mariah Carey without the showboating. But much more powerful. Listen to Lately or Overjoyed (it's a medley) for starters and then download the whole thing. You will not be disappointed.

To hear anyone else singing Stevie tunes and actually loving it was the surprise of the year. Trijntje sings with so much soul. Truly enjoyed it!!

For a Cover Album, Trijntje Oosterhuis is a very cable jazz/pop singer, and actually adds a different dimension to Stevie Wonder's classic hits. Of course, you can't beat the original from Mr. Wonder himself, but she does it in her own style, and if you had never heard of the songs before, you would find yourself enjoying her interpretations of them.
