Her newest book is titled Moose on the Loose. Here's what School Library Journal has to say: PreS-Gr 1-This rhyming text begins by asking: "What/would you do/with a moose/on the loose?/Would you chase him,/or race him,/or stand up to face him?" As the book continues, the creature becomes more daring, and children will delight in the antics of both the moose and its young human companion. Bold, bright, cartoonlike illustrations capture the action in a humorous style, inviting readers to look closely at all the details. The large boldfaced type complements the illustrations and action. Colorful spreads and simple rhymes will make this whimsical story a hit.-Margaret R. Tassia, Millersville University, PA

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!!!, November 8, 2005
By
This review is from: Once Upon a Christmas Eve (Hardcover)
On Christmas Eve, each and every year, it is said that the animals speak at midnight. Kate has heard this story and wants so much to know that it is true. So she leaves her home and goes out alone into the woods to see for herself. As she wanders through the forest she becomes lost.

When Kate suddenly awakes, snug and warm in her bed on Christmas morning she is disappointed because she believes she has dreamed her forest adventure. But a small doll provides her with the answer she has yearned for.

Wargin has written a lovely story that will warm the hearts and bring joy to all, children and adults alike. In Once Upon a Christmas Eve the illustrations are beautiful, peaceful and inviting and add so much to the story.

Armchair Interviews says Once Upon a Christmas Eve is a book worth having and keeping forever and one that will make a wonderful gift to that important child in your life.
