My children asked to teach them to quilt and by chance we picked up this book with the rest of the quilting books from the library. What an awesome way to showcase history woven into quilting stories. We read a story every evening at bedtime and my 6 year old boys loved them. There are funny and sad stories but all of them are beautiful. If one never quilted this sure will make them want to try.

I am glad I bought this book! This collection of quilting history, tradition and folklore is not only informative but entertaining. It 'draws' the reader to turn pages to see "more quilting stuff please". The illustrations are fabulous and the descriptions offer insight into each particular quilt presentation. To be honest I don't consider myself a quilt person, but as I said, the book contents made me EAGER to see what awaited on the horizon of the next page/s. Because of this, I highly recommend this book!
