About the Author

Peggy was born a native Californian and grew up in Newport Beach. She started modeling right out of high school when scouted by a modeling agent. She soon landed full time accounts with such companies as JC Penney, Macy's, Frederick's of Hollywood, Clairol , Nordstrom's , Olga lingerie, Ujena swimwear, Redken, Catalina swimwear and many others. The acting bug bit at an early age. She was featured in Garry Marshall's first film "Young Doctors In Love" followed by twenty something other films including National Lampoon's "Up the Creek", "Ghoulies V" , Tales of the Crypt's "Demon Knight", "Poison", "Human Desires" and "Vampirella", just to name a few. She also did many commercials. One of the more famous as a member of the "Swedish Bikini Team" in a series of spots put out by Old Milwaukee Beer. The popularity of the commercials led to a celebrity cover and pictorial in Playboy's January 1992 issue. She became a "Carson Art Player" on the Tonight show in the late 80's where she acted alongside of Johnny Carson for 3 years. She has made appearances in such shows as "Happy Days", "CSI", "Miami Heat", "Three's Company" "Baywatch" several episodes of "Married with Children" and many others. Peggy moved to Hollywood in 1989 and quickly became engulfed in the shrouded, celebrity inner circle. Peggy has spent over fifteen years in Hollywood before earning her bachelor's degree and obtaining her real estate license. She now owns her own real estate company in Orange County Ca. where she currently resides with her family.

5.0 out of 5 stars How do you find love in a town where people only love themselves?, October 16, 2011
This review is from: Once Upon a Star - Celebrity kiss and tell stories (Kindle Edition)
What a book. At its root level, this is the diary of Peggy Trentini, a girl who made her way to Hollywood and ended up exploring the inner sanctum of the stars, the movie stars and all the glitter that goes with those stars. Yet the glitter was not always shiny. Sometimes it was just sad, always it was difficult, sometimes love would slip through.

By all accounts, it appears these Hollywood escapades are entirely true. That makes them even more fascinating than if the author made us think this was fictional. The BIGGEST surprise is that she really does name names! Stallone! Nick Cage! Jagger! Musicians, actors, and more WITH PHOTOGRAPHS of she and them, the men she dated, loved, lost, and left. In the 1990s, I think the most amazing account given this was the 1990s was her meeting and involvement with Kevin Costner. This was the highlight decade of his career and I see him as being the A++++ list during the decade she was there.

Each of these accounts are complete chapters in and of themselves. This is not some "fluff" pamphlet disguised as an eBook! This runs close to 200 pages when read on my full-screen desktop monitor, you get loads of photos and even far more written accounts of her life with the stars. I read a lot about Tinsel Town and I must say this is the most complex and largesse account of a kiss-and-tell book I have ever read and perhaps that has EVER been published. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Once Upon a Star - Celebrity Kiss and Tell Stories if you love movies, are curious about the personal lives of Hollywood's most important stars, or just want an inside glimpse into a world that most never see or visit.

5.0 out of 5 stars A 'Dear Diary' treatment of a Hollywood story, October 16, 2011
This review is from: Once Upon a Star - Celebrity kiss and tell stories (Kindle Edition)
I'm not usually ready to jump at a celebrity tell-all because so many of them are spiteful or just odd. A couple of things about this one, though, made it engaging. Peggy Trentini didn't use a ghostwriter, and though she's not a writer, and there are some mistakes, the accounts read so emotionally that she really gives you the full picture of how she felt in these times, how she could have fallen for some really awful patter from some of these guys, and how much it hurt when they didn't back up their lust with the same love she gave to them. One might think that a pretty girl in Hollywood that's having exciting flings with A-listers and all-time icons is leading a charmed life, but it seemed sad, and that's what made it human to me. I think this book had to happen, whether anyone read it or not, and her accounts are honest, the way she's breathlessly recounting some moments, you get it, and her, and she becomes 3D in a snap. A ghostwriter might have ruined that genuine quality in the book. Even if you're not so hot on celebrity gossip, this is one of those real life memoirs that's easy to read, and is probably a good idea for the parents of any aspiring female model or actor to give to their girl. It may not stop the inevitable, but it can help her gain some understanding of how it is for someone who's since moved on and become a success in her own right. I wish Miss Peggy the best, and if the 'Volume 1' on here is anything to go by, we may be able to read more about her and her wild life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gossip at its best!, August 16, 2011

My friend gifted this to me as a gag at a party a few weeks ago. I'm really not the gossip 'What's going on in Hollywood?' type of person and it took me a while to open it up. But man, I'll tell you this account was pretty enthralling. The stars I thought I knew were not really as pure and true as I was led to believe. I seriously had to keep reminding myself that this wasn't a fiction novel. This book is definitely worth a look. A little bit of dirt and intrigue is a sinful treat.
