I watched this movie like crazy when I was young. When it was my turn to pick a movie this is the one that I would pick. I loved it!! I can't wait to enjoy it again with my little girl.

This amazing cartoon is one of my absolute favorites. I first saw it in 1982 when I was 9 and was never able to find it again. This sweet wonderful movie has a cinderella/mother goose-like feel to it and has that zany retro animation that I adore. Many people including myself have searched for many many years trying to find a copy of this. I have seen English copies go for as much as $250.00 on auction sites. It's simply amazing that it has finally returned from the lost vaults and is affordable to all. Kids and adults alike will enjoy this cute film.

I am choked up as I write this review because I have honestly been searching for this movie for 15 years since my daughter was born in 1993! Although I only saw this lovely animated movie twice when I was about 7 years old, it made such a lasting impression in my mind and heart. I too have tried calling KTLA and I have emailed and no one knew what I was talking about. Throughout the years, I've tried describing this movie to my daughter and I would sing as much as I could remember from the "Maria, Maria" song, but I was so little at the time, I could only remember bits of it. WOW, I can't wait to see it with my daughter and I just know she will love it as much as I do. Amazon, I can not thank you enough.

My 2 daughters watched this film on video when they were 5 & 3. After a few years of borrowing from the video shop it disappeared from the shelves. It has always remained one of their favourites and a film they have always wanted to own.We have searched for years to try & find it again and now it is available on amazon.com. My daughters are now happy to have acquired this film again, bringing back memories of the favourite songs...Maria, Maria etc........By the way, my daugters are now 27 & 23!!

Love this movie, I watch this animated movie several times on the family film festival on ktla channel 5 in Los Angeles

Never forgot the song Maria Maria I could never remember the name just the blue dog and Maria .
After 25 yrs the search is over and my 3 year old loves it . Takes me back!

OK, me and my sister grew up watching this movie and now that we are older and have kids of our own, we wanted them to see it. It was a magical, memorable movie for us! We couldn't remember the name, but remember the little babies singing "Maria, Maria" song. Too cute. So glad I was finally able to find it on Wikipedia. Now I'm ordering it so we can re-live the memories with all our small kids!

I grew up watching this movie on a Beta player, I remember having watched it so many times I ended up ruining the tape. Off and on in the past 10 years or so I have thought of this movie and wanted to watch it again however could never remember the name of it. I have now found it available and will make sure as to order it. Sometimes an amazing movie just needs to be gotten again. IF you have never watched this movie and want something to make you feel good, this is definitely a great choice.

This show is awesome. I remember it from my childhood and had been searching for it for a while. Thanks to Wikipedia, I was able to find it by searching by some of the character names, and luckily Amazon (an Excellent place to buy from) had it. Classic 70's movie. German made, so unique. Love this show. Thanks Amazon for making my dream come true of owning it and getting back a little of my childhood!

Thank you Amazon for having this! I saw this movie only a few times as a very young child (no older than 7), and I always referred to it as my favorite cartoon. The only lasting memories I had of this movie was a blue dog, a new land, and a pillow fight with babies that led to snow. I googled that just the other day, and after almost 30 something years of not seeing it and no one having the slightest idea what I was talking about, here it is!!! I am SOOOOO excited to get this and watch it with my little ones. I can't wait! It's going to bring me back to early childhood! What a crazy ride that's going to be! Thank you Amazon!!!

I havent seen this movie since the early 80's so glad that is was listed on Amazon! This cartoon movie brings back childhood memories, it also has cute humor!
