This is my favorite soundtrack. It is unfortunate that corporate consolidation of the music industry has meant that we can only get access to such excellent artists when they happen to be on a soundtrack. Maona and the Moa Hunters, in particular, lay down some excellent tracks with great politics. They have two other cd's out in New Zealand, which are not available in the US. The title song is also worth noting, as is the interspersed traditional music that works really well with the more modern tracks. Overall, it is a great mix.

But, when I saw the film in the theater in '94(?), I was so taken with the organic mix of traditional, modern and island reggae flavors in the music, that I scoured every store until I found it. It remains the only soundtrack I've bought.
My favorite track is 'What's the Time, Mr. Wolf?'
I think you'll love it too. Makes you want to dance.

What an outstanding movie. Very moving and realistic. The culture is wonderful and the music is just as good. This one is a classic for your dvd collection!

This movie is the best movie I have ever seen in my life... The cast could not have been chosen any better and the soundtrack is just as hectic as the movie... You will have no regrets choosing it!!!

This is a very insightful story that showed how locals live. I like documentaries so this was right up my ally.

Could someone please enable the sample for the themesong for the Soundtrack. It is an amazing guitar epic mixed with other kinds of music and the result is spellbinding. That is my favourite track on the CD, the themesong.

i never thought that i could like a movie this old , but i watched it and i loved it it is now one of my favourite movies.

I don't know about you guyz but this movie is touching and Grace is a tight actress. and Beth played as my aunty in buddahs movie(Vili Fualaau). Watch and listen to it. Ican't wait until the second one comes out. The cast of once were warriors I give you guyz mad props. Keep it up and do it for the rest of us Poly's, we got to stick together, Jah know.
