I eat comfort food a lot and am well-known for ordering chicken strips at *any* restaurant I go to. Fresh fruits and vegetables really aren't a steady part of my diet (on more than one occasion I've had Doritos for dinner). I didn't start taking the One-A-Day Women's multivitamin until about 18 months ago. One of my sisters and I were talking about how thin & brittle our nails were, and how thick our other sister's nails were, and we made the connection that our other sister took a multivitamin, while we did not. So I started taking One-A-Day, and within the month, I could see a thicker ridge of nail growing out. It was so weird, and yet so disconcerting to think my thin nails were caused by a vitamin deficiency. Even now, when I go for a bit without the vitamin, thinner nail will grow out until I remember to start taking the One-A-Day again. If my vitamin deficiency caused thin nails, what was it doing to the rest of my body?

One-A-Day Women's is a well-rounded vitamin. My only problem is that I have to take multivitamins on a full stomach otherwise they'll cause an upset stomach, so much that I will toss my cookies. I mean, I have to have a really full stomach... if I'm really hungry and just eat a bagel or a bowl of cereal, and then take this vitamin, I will get nauseous and have to rest my head on my desk and take deep breaths for 15 minutes until the feeling passes - so I try to take my vitamin after having a big plate of food. This happens with any multivitamin for me, not just One-A-Day, but it's something to keep in mind when taking a multivitamin for the first time, you probably don't want to take it with an empty stomach.

I have no problems with this multi-vitamin even taking without eating and have actually started sleeping better because of it. They're easy to swallow, contain many essential nutrients, have no bad taste or odor, and best of all only one pill daily is required. Couldn't ask for anything better at a reasonable price.

I trust that these are doing their job (haven't been taking them long enough to see a difference), but I had to comment on one thing. While I like the coating that the vitamins have, something about these pills made me SICK, SICK, SICK, to my stomach--and I do not have a weak stomach (I can eat any food at any time of day, and can even drink milk before jogging ha).

Yes, the instructions say "with food" in really tiny letters if you look closely, but it should be more like a GIGANTIC warning sign because they are not kidding! I took one of these right before breakfast, and in about 10 minutes (the amount of time it took me to walk from my dorm to the cafeteria and get my food), I was sick with the worst feeling I have had in ages, and ended up running for the bathroom like some scene from a movie. Fortunately, a male friend of mine confirmed that the same thing had happened to him before, so it may not be this particular brand of vitamin.

If you are on a diet or tend to eat many small meals throughout the day instead of 2 or 3 big ones, this may not be for you. Even when I do take it with food, I apparently don't take enough food because I will still get a small sick feeling for a little while, if I haven't eaten a gargantuan meal (although thank goodness I have not repeated the major throw-up episode of before). I am going to try to cut the pills in half and take throughout the day to see if that helps.

caution: take one a day on a full stomach as you would with any other medicine and you will be fine. with this product i have seen thicker faster growing hair, have had more energy, thicker faster nail growth and even sleep better. and these are things i can visibly see which makes me curious as to the amazing changes taking place internally!! as cliche as it sounds i feel healthier! these vitamins are the perfect supplement when you dont have the best diet and even if you do it still cannot hurt! i would definitely repurchase and recommend to a friend

I heard about this vitamin from my mom who has been taking it. I have been experiencing lots of exhaustion and worsening pms in the recent few years (I am in my mid twenties). My mom told me she has a lot of energy since she has take this vitamin and urges me to try it. I have been taking the vitamins for about a month now and really feel the difference (I don't know if it's the vitamin or just a psychological effect). My pms symptoms also got noticeably better this month without the usual exhaustion, frustration and bloated feeling 1-2 weeks before hand. This is my personal experience, and I am hoping it will last!

These vitamins are good, they have changed my hair and nails for the better. I also have noticed a big difference in my energy level and menstral cycle. The only thing I dont like is that I absolutely have to take this on a completely FULL stomach. I would never be dumb enough to take on an empty stomach, but even when I take after a small meal I will feel sick. Its crucial I eat a big full-filling meal first. I have experienced nausea so bad that Ive actually thrown up after taking this. I have even gotten diarrhea before because i took this with only a small breakfast. Very important how you take it. Other than that my only concern is why in the world would anyone pay $30 for these vitamins online?? You can get them at the grocery store for like $6 bucks! Just something to think about...
