5.0 out of 5 stars Good for Gramp, January 28, 2007

I bought this remove for my grandfather who was 91. He was having trouble with the remote which came with his tv. The buttons were too small and too numerous. The "One For All" was perfect for entering station numbers directly, or flipping up and down and changing the volume.

I'd recommend it for anyone with eye trouble or that gets confused with the standard remotes with dozens and dozens of buttons.

4.0 out of 5 stars One for All Remote, January 29, 2006

The remote was different in style, but not in function from the one listed on AMAZON.COM. That is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars for this product. It seems to be doing a nice job for what it was intended. If you need a less complicated remote (say for a senior, etc.), this is your answer. Perfect for those who get easily confused by multiple technology on one remote. Easily programmable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works, and that's what I bought it for, January 3, 2006
Why buy a $120 remote?

I don't understand why anyone would buy a $120 remote??? This one for $10.00 works just fine. We lost our's, so, in bed at night, I wanted a remote. My man, Norman, bought this and it does the job. He programed it off the instructions (I do not understand that stuff.) But, now it works.

I wanted to be able to change channels, turn off the TV (when I fall asleep to Leno) or to lower or raise the volume. And this puppy does it!

Go pay $90 - $120 for a fancy smancy one, but, what more do you want from your remote than above???

save that extra money for a nice sex toy, or weekend trip. Be smart with your money. And that's that, from Gramma Sally.

Great alternative to the original remote which mysteriously disappeared. Nice big buttons and easy to use. Just no way to access the sleep timer but oh well, at least I can turn the tv on now.

This is a super remote. Simple, does the job. It is not loaded with multi-purpose mumbo-jumbo.
