The track "One Blood" is worth the money,
By A Customer
This review is from: One Blood (Audio CD)
This is a solo release of the Black Uhuru member Junior Reid. The title track "One Blood" is a dynamite Ragga track I was looking for a long time. The rest of the album is not of that kind but is also worth the money. That's the reason for the three stars I was giving. But - buy it if you're a bigger Ragga fan as I am.

All time groove,

This review is from: One Blood (Audio CD)
One Blood,by Junior Reid is a counterpart if you will of the theme set down by Bob Marley of One Love, the idea that we are all connected in the struggle, the need to survive,to fight against oppression, surpression and depression...Junior sends his message with good riffs and brotherly love, and he has found success with Black Uhuru, and all of the reggae world as he puts his music down as an all time groove worth revisiting...enjoy...

...No matter which part you come from, if you choose to familiarize yourself with the music & lyrics of Delroy "Junior" Reid, Jr. you will see that we are all ONE BLOOD. We all have to move ahead, and the more you live, the more you know, so come join the flow. When it Snows, you can still listen this album from the great Father Reid. This cd is from 1990 and features the seminal title track, as well as what the whole world is searching for: subject matter with message and melody. So if you are searching for better, deal with the matter, because the going gets tough, and this album is rough like a diamond. I especially like the tune Eleanor Rigby, you gotta hear this version. Am I writing the words of a sermon nobody will hear? All the lonely people, where do they all come from and where do they belong...you have to get this album! Do you remember the song Dirty Diana by Michael Jackson? Well you gotta hear the Junior Reid version "Grouppie Diana". If you like that tune you will also like "Propraganda" on Junior's latest release RASTA GOVERNMENT (Fall 2002) on the One Blood Music label. Also check TRUE WORLD ORDER (1997) and EMMANUEL CALLING (2000) cause Bobo taking over and will paint the White house Red Green & Gold and rename the Senate "Sense-it" Poor People Government taking over... Senator Asher Fire, Post Script
