I was fortunate enough to find a copy of One Blood last week and have not stopped listening to it. Most important is the message that Yothu Yindi conveys. The common thread of the nineteen songs on this album is a mixture of pride in Yolngu culture and tradition and the longing for the rightful return of the land and fair treatment.

This is a sort of "best of" CD, featuring tracks from Tribal Voice, Freedom, and two other CDs not available in the United States, Birrkuta (Wild Honey) and Homeland Movement. All of the songs were newly recorded in 1998, featuring new material as well as old favourites. This is an amazing CD and is well worth the import price. It is a unique musical journey into the distant past of Australia, of the Yolngu culture that dates back tens of thousands of years, blended with modern rock and harmonies, and is an unforgettable listening experience.

I first heard Yothu Yindi while on holiday in Australia where they are "Top 40" material. It is really uplifting music which is completely unique. I love them and play this CD all the time. Try it, you will be hooked.

I wish people would stop being so racist to the aboriginals because there people just like us.If only our society could give them a chance for once and stop being so cruel to them.It is very hurtful when people are mean to them.
