Do Not Waste Your Time or Money,
This review is from: No One But You (Kimani Romance) (Kindle Edition)
I got this book for free and I am glad I did. It is so boring, I can not get through it. The plot is so un-realistic. I would never believe that a man who was so in love with a woman would have to be reached by his ex-lover's friends just to get in contact with her again. If he really wanted to find her, he could easily do so through various opportunities in this day and age. Everything about this book is so stiff, the scenes do not flow together at all and it seems like it was written by an amateur writer. I am not trying to be mean, but if you have considered buying this book, DON'T!!!! If you must read it, rent it from the library.

Stilted and Uninteresting,

I'm an avid romance reader, and I read this book because an acquaintance of mine said I didn't give African American romance a fair shake.
I'm trying, but this is not the book to reintroduce one to the genre. The story is uninteresting, the language is stilted. How many descriptions of skin color and soror(ity) love can any one person stand? I went to an historically black college, and didn't have this level of exposure to sororities. Plus the hero thinks like no man I've ever met. I'm not generalizing that men lack subtlety, but honestly, do you think every thought out of a horny man's head is akin to 'shall I compare the to a summer's day?'

No One But You captivated me from the very beginning. It moves quickly with such grace and style that I became completely enthralling in the characters lives and the story around them. Sarafina Lovell and Jackson Thomas live on each page and the secondary characters are just as interesting. I'm excited about the Ladies of Distinction series. I can't wait until the next installment. Bravo Michelle, you did a fantastic job!!!
