5.0 out of 5 stars 4.5 stars overall, great bundle! November 15, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The problem with bundles are that sometimes not all the books in them are worth reading. However, I would say that his bundle was great! The price is excellent, if you buy it on sale. Six great stories that range from 4-5 stars.

I will summarize my favorite ones from the bundle:

The Andreou Marriage Arrangement - Is the story of Loukas & Alesha who's families have known each other a long time. When her father dies, it was part of his will that Alesha and Loukas marry in order to protect the family business empire. They both enter into the agreement as a business arrangement. Alesha did not want the company that her dad worked so hard for to be sold to strangers and her work was her life, now that she was divorced from a very bad marriage. After their quick marriage, they started living together, and realize that they are compatible and attracted to each other. Alesha has trust issues because of her past experience, Loukas is determined to make her love him no matter what. He was the perfect husband! It was nice to see a story about love that grows from friendship and blooms into everlasting love.

The Billionaire's Housekeeper Mistress is the story about Ethan and Daisy. Daisy was working as a personal assistant to some snobby lady. She puts up with her boss attitude because she is helping her parents out financially. Due to a confrontation, Daisy gets fired because of Ethan. Ethan feels bad for her and offers her a job instead as his "housekeeper" project manager. She accepts out of desperation. She tries to ignore the attraction running between Ethan and herself until one day they cannot fight it anymore. He is not ready to end the relationship, but she does not want things to go further because of who he is.

One Night...

4.0 out of 5 stars Good light reading overall..... October 21, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Overall, this was not a bad bundle. 5 of the stories were solid and 3 were average, but for $[...] each, it is cheap entertainment!

I will simply summarize my favorite stories in this bundle:

Purchased: His perfect bride by Helen Bianchin who I like. Wolfe is forced to return to Australia to see to his dead father's will and business. Wolfe has been a bit resentful of Lara because her mother married Wolfe's dad after his divorce with Wolfe's mom. Wolfe makes a marriage proposal to Lara strictly as a business transaction in order to make sure the business remained in the family. Lara accepts because she needs to money to save her beloved restaurant. What starts off as a loveless marriage soon became one that was real and forever! Very sweet!

Business in the bedroom: Abby leases a place to start her massage business, when she packs up and shows up, she finds out that the owner of the place did not sign and lease and she got scammed. She finds herself homeless and with nowhere to go. Zak feels sorry for her and tries to help her by offering her a temporary place to stay while they sort this mess. Living under the same roof and playing house became too comfortable and soon they find themselves attracted to each other in more than one way.

Greek Tycoon, Waitress wife - Alexeis was attending a party when a beautiful waitress captured his attention. Due to a misunderstanding, Carrie gets fired from her waitress job. He feels bad for her when she sees her walking down the street and offers to take her to dinner. Carrie accepts because she was sad about her job and she has never seen such a beautiful man. When would you ever get to go out with a rich and beautiful man? She takes it as a once in a lifetime opportunity.

1.0 out of 5 stars SKIP HARLEQUIN PRESENTS FOR THIS MONTH!!!! AWFUL August 9, 2009
By penguin
Format:Kindle Edition
Whatever you do, DO NOT buy Harlequin presents this month! After a 10yr hiatus, I got back on the harlequin wagon 2yrs ago and have bought all 12 books every month, that is, after buying back issues of the 10yrs I missed. I have favorite authors like Carol Marinelli, Helen Bianchin, Lyndsay Graham, Sharon Kendrick, Melanie Milburne. These women write pretty good books. Characters are always well fleshed out, strong, passionate and intelligent.
For a while now, I have noticed that sometimes, HP books bearing their names just don't read like how they normally write. Especially for this month, it was especially awful. I can swear that Sharon Kendrick could never have written something as cliched and nauseating as The Playboy Sheikh's Virgin Stable-Girl!! Even the title is beyond the pale for the spectacularly cliched HP books. The male character was like something from a badly written soap opera starring neanderthal man and jenny flinstone.
In fact, reading through the first 5 books (while gagging and trying to get my money's worth), I was convinced the same person wrote everything. It became pretty clear that the writer had some kind of hang up on a 5yr gap. All the stories had something to do with a 5yr gap. The script and story flow was like something written by a pre-schooler pretending to be a university essay writer. In short, the writing STUNK!!!
I am thinking ghost writer AND A VERY BAD ONE AT THAT. Otherwise, these great ladies are loosing their touch. AGAIN I ASK, WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ROMANCE WRITERS THESE DAYS!

quick read. stories were ok but seemed like authors first attempt. Editing could have been better. Good as a freebie but don't recommend paying for it.

How bad could it be? It's a Harlequin romance for crying out loud- no one expects a Pulitzer prize-worthy novel, right? They were horrid! Read more

This is a combination of decent books with books badly written. This last book waited until it was nearly over before any romance began. Read more

Great classic romance. Between rooting for the characters, and getting mad at them lol it's an engrossing read. A must have.

4.0 out of 5 stars I loved them all!
In each story the couples had to overcome different road blocks like most couples do. They show that loving someone is not always easy.

No more one-click buys???
That is what I wanted to know. I buy these every month and have been reading for over 25 years and I would buy 2-4 different sets of books for full price at k-mart and walmart and that was about $90 a month each month. Since I bought my kindle I have loved buying at reduced price because I buy... Read More
