5.0 out of 5 stars If I didn't take a multi-vitamin, I'd be dead
My review title is a joke between one of my sisters and I because I eat junk food a lot and am well-known for ordering chicken strips at *any* restaurant I go to. Fresh fruits and vegetables are not a part of my diet at all (on more than one occasion I've had Doritos for dinner). I didn't start taking the One-A-Day Women's multivitamin until 4 years ago. 1.0 out of 5 stars sent the wrong vitamin
I ordered the One A Day Women's Formula Multivitamin. Free shipping, good price, and the vitamins arrived in about 4 days. However, they sent the One A Day Women's Multivitamin. The difference in the two multivitamins is that the one they sent contains vitamin K and my wife, on blood thinners, cannot take vitamin K.
I had to return the vitamins. Also free and...

One of my sisters and I were talking about how thin & brittle our nails were, and how thick our other sister's nails were, and we made the connection that our other sister took a multivitamin, while we did not.

So I started taking One-A-Day, and within the month, I could see a thicker ridge of nail growing out. It was so weird, and quite disconcerting to think my thin nails were caused by a vitamin deficiency. Even now, when I go for a bit without the vitamin, thinner nail will grow out until I remember to start taking the One-A-Day again. If my vitamin deficiency caused thin nails, what was it doing to the rest of my body? I don't know, but for me it's worth taking this vitamin just for my nails. If there are other benefits to the rest of my body, that's just the icing on the cake.

One-A-Day Women's is a well-rounded vitamin. My only problem is that I have to take multivitamins on a full stomach otherwise they'll cause an upset stomach, so much that I will toss my cookies. I mean, I have to have a really full stomach... if I'm really hungry and just eat a bagel or a bowl of cereal and then take this vitamin, I will get nauseous and have to snarf food and milk in order to stop the nausea, and even then I'll rest my head on my desk and take deep breaths for 15 minutes until the feeling passes. I try to take my vitamin after having a big plate of waffles or a bacon cheeseburger, that solves the nausea problem (see? I told you my eating habits weren't the best... don't worry, I walk or bike almost every day to offset my terrible eating habits). The nausea happens with any multivitamin for me, not just the One-A-Day brand, but it's something to keep in mind when taking a multivitamin for the first time, you probably want to take it on a full stomach.

**UPDATE** Someone helpfully commented on this review and suggested cutting the multivitamin in half to keep the nausea from being a problem. It worked, no nausea! I used a pill splitter, much easier than trying to use a kitchen knife. I ate a bowl of cereal then took the 1/2 vitamin, and there was no nausea. I'm definitely going to split these multivitamins in half from now on because lately I find myself only eating small meals, rather than a big "I'm so stuffed!" kind of meal that I needed to take the full-sized vitamin with.

P.S. My husband takes the Men's One-A-Day and he too has the same "thicker nail growing out" bonus from taking the Men's One-A-Day.

You can't beat the price on these vitamins, and the order I received doesn't expire until well after I will use up the order (this was my primary concern in buying so many at one time). Once again, a great Subscribe and Save purchase!

I take womens one a day everyday and my skin is healthier I dont have to worry about my bone health.People never say if it makes your hair longer or not they just brush it off and dont even bring it up. For those of you who are wondering yes it does make your hair longer not "look" longer. And it's best to take it everday and be patient.

I had to return the vitamins. Also free and easy using the internet.
I would still like to get the correct multivitamins but am not sure of using the internet as I might get the wrong ones again.
