Alter Bridge is not Creed. I don't know how many times I have heard that from people - Myles Kennedy is not replacing Scott Stapp, they have started a NEW and in my opinion IMPROVED band called Alter Bridge. If you like Creed, you will like this album, and if you don't like Creed there is a good chance you will like this album as well. Even though i don't want to compare these guys to Creed, I will. Alter Bridge are much heavier and in your face than Creed ever was. The way Mark Tremonti is playing guitar now is absolutely amazing. Especially in Find the Real. He is a very talented guitarist, and finally gets to show some of it off in this album.

1)Find the Real - one of my favorites on the album. Like I said before, the guitaring in this song is amazing. I really like this song - it's heavy, yet soulful, and all around great

2)One Day Remains - Very catchy song - up beat and just very cool

3)Open Your Eyes - Creed fans will love this song. I hate it. It's an okay song but it seems to be a "sell out" song and was made entirely for the radio. But hey that's just what I think. Mark's solo is rediculous, and really doesn't fit in with the song.

4)Burn it Down - Another one that sounds a lot like Creed to me. Nothing special here. Good solo though.

5)Metalingus - Very cool song, but it sounds for some reason very familliar. I swear I've heard a song like it before. This is probably the heaviest song on the album - i love it! Great song

9)Watch Your Words - Sounds a bit like Metallica to me. Actually a lot like Metallica. But metallica's my favorite band so I love this song. It's very heavy and just brilliant. Strong vocals

Overall the only disappointment i found is that I was hoping for more songs like Find the Real and Metalingus but got more songs like Open Your Eyes and such. Some of the songs sound similar on the album, but it's still great. Alter Bridge are bringing music back and i love them for it!

Sure in music industry, vocalist,musicians come and go, and for every new memmber shufflings, they're bound to have another name just to prove that this is the new beginning, another sound,another demographic target etc...Listening to this, imagining without Myles Kennedy's vocals, definitely another Creed album.The structure is almost the same,although there is a little deviation in some songs which is more of like Metallica.Guitar, good as ever if not better, Tremonti rocks!Myles Kennedy gives the band an edge with a powerful vocals. The songs, close to perfection with every moods the song is supposed to. You feel the pain, the hope and love without the feeling of too dramatic.I love Scott Stapp, but listening to previous Creed album I feel I have to do an oblation pose just so,to appease the spirit that I might have wronged in some ways.
