This review is from: One G-String Short of Crazy (Paperback)
Twins Felicia and Aisha have been by each other's side since the womb. And now as adults, they live and work together. After twenty-eight years of being the other's shadow, they decided to make a break, at least sort of. They get apartments across the hall from each other in the same complex. Despite having their own company, Felicia's heart really isn't in the business. She's rather be doing something else. Can she muster up the courage to tell her sister? And while she's at it, can she tell her best friend, Tarik, that she's fallen for him? Sister Aisha is a free spirit. That "freeness" soon finds her in the bed of her biggest client and the future of the company is on the line. Will she be able to save the company and herself before it's too late?
Desiree Day entertains readers with this delightful account of fraternal twins coming into their own and the drama that subsequently unfolds. Characters Felicia and Aisha are ones that readers can easily care about. ONE G-STRING SHORT OF CRAZY is my first novel by author Desiree Day, but I doubt it will be my last. Reviewed by: Toni 4.5

This review is from: One G-String Short of Crazy (Paperback)
One G-STRING Short of Crazy by Desiree Day is a non-stop, page-turner. This book will have you laughing, crying and relating to the main characters. This is a story of four friends from high school who have moved on with there lives only to end up moving into the same brownstone. The stories they share will have you screaming, yelling and saying "OH NO HE DIDN'T".
Meet the twins: Aisha and Felicia are not identical but they do everything together, from living together to running a business. Even though they are adults they cannot do anything unless the other twin is there, with the exception, of sex of course. But when one of the girls falls in love and is holding a secret will their bond break or will it be stronger then ever? Derrick is a very successful lawyer the only problem is he is a womanizer. He wants a different one in his bed and on his arm everyday of the week. But when he moves to Atlanta to get away from a deranged ex-girlfriend will he be in for the shock of his life, or will he remain cool under pressure? Tarik is good friends with all the players in this game, however, he is going through his own emotional roller coaster ride with his current girlfriend. Giving everything he can just does not seem enough for his jaded fiancé. Will Tarik get married even though the signs are clear that Tara is not the one for him? Will he wake up and smell the coffee before it is too late? I recommend this book to everyone who likes fast-paced drama, crazy sex scenes, and an outrageous ending. Loved it,

First and foremost, let me say that this book is good. Better than good. It took me one day to read it, because I couldn't put it down. I really like it, because it isn't the typical boy meets girl falls desparately in love *sigh* novel. It's different. Not the usual arabesque formula book. It has humor, eroticism, relatability and my personal favorite, a happy ending.

I bought this book to get supersaver shipping but the picture is nice and from just flipping through the pages it seems that it would be a nice book for a young girl. I might try to read it someday but porn for pages just takes too much time for me!

So this is the 1st title I've read by Desiree Day and it was a good book.
[ALERT!!! NO SPOILER REVIEW! READING THIS REVIEW WILL NOT SPOIL THE BOOK FOR FUTURE READERS!!] The title is about two sisters (Felicia & Aisha) who seems joined at the hip, and their journey thru life together and simultaneously apart. Day does a good job painting a picture of the ladies, which allowed me to gain a visual, which is great when reading a piece of work. The sisters were relatable and realistic. The two main male characters (Tarik & Derrick) were welcomed. However, Day did not do as well of a job describing them. The relationship present between them was good, and Day is a good story-teller. RECOMMENDATION: Borrow it from the library or purchase it...maybe! If you think you could be in love with your best friend, buy the book. The book was a page-turner, for the most part. There were periods where I could put the book down and come back to it a few days later, but it was definitely interesting enough to keep me coming back to finish it. If you are looking for erotica, this is not the book, although it had a few decent scenes. "One G-String..." gets 3 1/2 stars because it feels like it was incomplete. It took a while to really get started, and it seemed to end abruptly. The end was fine but appeared unfinished. It skipped periods of time, which was probably a good thing, but it would have been good to have a well-written explanation of the time lapsed. Also, I really didnt see the point of 'Darla'. She added NOTHING to the book....nothing at all!! She just pissed me off...mainly because I believe her story was left untold. I didn't, and even now, don't believe that things were as she claimed but Day never told the remainder of that story. The sex scenes were good, but not hot!! I may be tough critic when it comes to this, but hey...each author should master their writing in this area, regardless of how many or little scenes are in the book, because it adds a great deal to a piece of work. Ultimately, I am sure I will read another title by this author, I just don't know when. 3 1/2 Stars From Me...let's see if we can get 4 or 5 stars of the next title. "BlessedBookCritic"

This book was just ok for me. It didn't flow like I wanted it to. I liked some of the characters, but I felt like something was missing. The chapters ended and I felt like they weren't complete. I liked the ending because I like happy endings. I just wished there was more of a story. I couldn't really figure out what this story was about. I think it was just me because I am the only one to give this book a 3 star rating so far. This was my first book by this author. This book was recommended to me by my niece who usually has a good judgement on what she thinks I will like. This one did not do it for me. I will try reading another book by her and see what happens.
