A phenomenal album by a great down to earth band!,
This review is from: One Girl Revolution (Audio CD)
If you are familiar with Saving Janes first album then you already know that this band is destined for greatness. One Girl Revolution is just as good! Marti has a beautifully unique voice that is second nature to her. I had the honor of seeing them live and she sounds perfect and the band is tight. They are also a friendly band who doesn't mind taking the time out to meet and talk to their fans. Her lyrics are meaningful and all the songs are catchy. This band is not caught up in all the commercial BS, they are raw, natural talent who sing and play from their hearts.

I first heard Saving Jane on the top 40 with "Girl Next Door." This time I heard her on a Sirus station. They do not get played much, but this group is AWESOME. This new CD has some GREAT songs. The lead off single "One Girl Revolution" is another Chick anthem. very good lyrics and good beat. Another one of my favorite songs is "From the Sky." I play that song over and over! Other highlights are: "What I didn't Say", "Nicotine", "Say Please" & "Let me down Easy." At first listen to the beginning of "Better Day" I thought she was going to be doing a remake of "Torn." It has the same melody and I thought Martie would sing the heck out of it....was kinda a let down when it turned out not to be Torn, but "Better Day" turns out to be ok anyway. This group is one that should be getting more attention. The songs and lyrics are good. Give it a try. If you liked "Girl NExt Door" you will enjoy this one too.

I liked the first CD from this band...so I bought the second one. It's okay...nothing that's going to knock you off your feet, but still has some nice beats to it. Say Please is a very touching song.

This was a good album, not amazing, but some good core girl music for singing along to in the car.

Saving Jane needs full on national recognition! I can't believe they are still not totally mainstream. Although I'm glad because it just means they can do their thing and totally continue to rock out. The CD is awesome.

There's nothing bad at all about this band. The cd is a mix up between rock and pop. And every band member is good at what they do. Outstand vocals. And the guitarist rocks. Check out the tracks "One Girl Revolution" and "Better Day" for a taste of the cd.

I purchased Saving Jane's first CD and loved it -- I heard a few songs off One Girl Revolution and new I had to have it. I loved this album even more than the first -- Say Please is one of my favorite songs but I have to say I liked each and every song on this album and recommend to anyone.

Nice Voice,

Very nice voice and very easy on the eyes, albeit that sure is a lot of make-up, wondering what the person really looks like under all that gunk.
Songs...well, nothing you haven't heard before, if they had been the first band to write songs like these, great. But , good lord, each little pop ballad sounds like a thousand other compositions one has heard. I think the band would do well to re-think how they compose and try to create more unique melodies instead of being so chord driven in the way they compose. I'm not saying they need to re-visit the Beatles catalog to get a feel for what a slew of very different melodies sounds like, well, I guess I am saying that. |
