I am a returning competitive swimmer who has not hit the pool regularly for over two years. Workouts are great because they incorporate all strokes, and I can already feel myself becoming stronger and my muscles are notably larger. The intervals may need adjusting as you become faster, but the book does also suggest doubling the set length and still trying to complete it in 1 hour to make an advanced workout. Without a coach, this book is an excellent pool-side guide and finally gave my workouts direction. I am definitely getting better results with these workouts than the 2,000 or so meters I was swimming on my own without a direct purpose to the set.

This is a great guide to swimming workouts. It definitely helps break up the monotony. I have young children and can't make it to Master Swim workouts. This is the next best thing.

This can be very challenging and keep things interesting, with 100 different workouts you won't get bored. I would highly recommend this to friends and family.

Bought this book to try and get back into swimming after a couple years. Found the workout easy to follow and fun to do. If you are short on time, there are some shorter workouts to try. It was great to try and get back into shape after having a baby. The waterproof pages are a plus making it really easy to bring to the pool deck. Recommend drying it off after as the pages tend to stick together. Great for all swimming levels, some are more challenging as other so its a great way to work up to those workouts. Would be great for triathlon training (my next task)!

Great selection of one hour workouts. The variety keeps it interesting and an hour swim only feels like 30 min. Designers did a great job making the book usable - waterproof paper is much appreciated & the plastic stand helps too.

This book is perfect for use right on the pool deck. The pages are waterproof and it has a little stand system to keep it upright for quick referencing between sets.

You really need to have a small knowledge of butterfly to get all the workouts finished, though. The author of these workouts seems to really like butterfly. I'm hoping it will build my endurance for that stroke.
Also, I wish the elastic band around the middle was just a bit tighter to keep it in place better. Otherwise, I recommend it to anyone!
