4.0 out of 5 stars Almost a classic but still really useful, February 24, 2010
This review is from: One Hundred Desert Wildflowers of the Southwest (Paperback)
This book has been in print for over 20 years and still sells very well for the Western National Parks Association. It deserves to do so -- it covers the great majority of the flowers that we've seen on our hikes in northern New Mexico.

The photographs and drawings are recognizable on the ground, and the well written descriptions help confirm the identifications. This is a very useful in the backpack of a southwestern desert hiker.

Wildflowers of the Desert Southwest by Meg Quinn is a pretty alternative.

Robert C. Ross 2010
