Hundred Reasons prove exactly why England is a great place to be right now in terms of music. Combining the passion and drive of bands like Grade and Will Haven with the sensibilities of Weezer and Pearl Jam, Hundred Reasons will have you desperate for more. And that is the only flaw with this EP - you want more from them so badly that it hurts. However, the wait will soon be over and their second EP will be here soon. Definitely worth a listen. They're gonna be massive VERY soon.

Excellent UK Rock,

hundred reasons are one of the UK's most exciting new bands. Having blown Kittie off the stage on only their third ever gig, they proceeded to release this excellent debut single.Cerebra rocks like a mutha. Opening with a distorted guitar line mixed into the background, it soon explodes into life like a rocket. Like the rest of the CD, it's got a great chorus, and a complex verse. In fact, the song structure reminds me a little of Tool, but with the passion of prime Pearl Jam running through it's veins. Slow Learner is similarly passionate, mixing hardcore sensibilities with bags of melody and a cool chorus to great effect. This song shows Hundred Reasons grasp of dynamics very well. Clear (Flawed) is the hardest of all three of the songs. Starting out with some great screaming and a cool guitar part that bleeds into the chorus. Great for moshing to, and for leaping around your bedroom like a total loon. If there's any justice in the world Hundred Reasons will soon be selling records by the bucket load, and help to get rid of the Limp Bizkit's of the world with their great take on the Nu-Metal/Hardcore genre. |
