5.0 out of 5 stars great album, April 3, 2004

all of these songs are amongst the bands strongest.
Avon is a track that has appeared in three different forms on two different albums, and is one of their best songs.

No one knows however is an outstanding track with just the right elements of what makes a great stoner rock song.

Too bad these guys broke up.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bolstered my faith in new music, April 3, 2003

FINALLY, music from a trance/rave artist that doesn't pre-suppose that I'm already in a chemically induced trance.

"No One Knows" does what music should do--by itself it puts you into an altered state. The melody catches your attention while the minor key and etherial vocal track induce natural head banging. This song has every quality I associate with perfection--the simple melody repeats and transforms through the entire piece; harmony and cacophony coexist; instrumentation varies unpredictably; dynamic range is extremely high. Recording quality is very good. I fully expect to relish this song every time I hear it played for MANY years to come.

The video is well-planned and appropriately unworldly. While I could not get it to play on my DVD player, it plays fine on the computer and Quick Time Player is conveniently provided if you do not already have it installed.

The remaining tracks, "Song from the Dead" and "Avon" are lackluster, uninspired and "commercial" to my 39-year-old ears.
