I have been listening to HTH for many years, and this is the best collection of their styles that I have ever owned. The CD is both easy to listen to when you need good rhythmic background music, and worth really listening to when you have time to absorb the sounds and think about the lyrics. This makes it versatile.

I wrote "haunting" in the title because of songs like "Nightingale Lightning" and "Hello, My Destroyer" -- both of which regularly cause me to hit "repeat" on my CD player, particularly in the car. They resurface in my mind hours later when I'm at work, and they make me want to return to the car.

Like so much of HTH's music, "rediscoverable" means that while the songs might touch you the first time you hear them, you hear more and more each time you listen. This is the kind of music that's not only worth hearing, but worth owning.

I tend to prefer buying songs than CDs. But there's nothing I'd leave out of this collection.

Whatever brought you here, keep with the momentum running through your browser and get this album. It's the best album to date by a band that has only good ones so far. The songs are great individually, and the album as a whole is worth repeated listenings.

Deeply satisfying from start to finish, HtH's third album one-ups everything they've done to date, turning non-sensical word clusters into thoughtful ruminations on life, death, and the pain of uncertainty. Musically rich, lyrically potent, aesthetically whole. A highly suggested listen.

Impressive 3rd album from Hallelujah the Hills. Definitely one of those bands who deserve more recognition. Really well executed rock arrangements with smart and thought provoking lyrics. Lots of standout tracks on this one - - - Get Me in a Room, The Game Changes Me, Hungry Ghost Extraordinaire - - - but it also really feels like a complete album and not just a collection of singles.
