3.0 out of 5 stars Something missing.
"One Last Kiss" left me wondering how the murderer set up all the "scenes", comitted all the murders, knew just what time to murder and conducted a business. Too many things "happened" with no explanation of how. I will read Judith Kelman, I like her style of writing. This one left something missing for me.

Thea Harper just got out of a mental hospital. She had a seizure and supposedly killed her boyfriend Senator simon Gallatin. She remembers nothing. But his blood was on her hands so she must of killed him right? The Senator's family is powerful and out of revenge. They want Thea to pay for what she had done. Now that Thea is trying to get her life back. Murders are happening again. Did she do them while having an another seizure. She did wake up with blood under her nails. Wasn't her feet all muddy when she woke up in the morning. And she is painting objects only the killer or victim could know. There's a good guy on her side even though she doesn't know it and he believes she couldn't have killed. Read the book for the shocking ending. If you like this book. Buy "If I should die" and " The house on the hill"

Judith Kelman is a smart, sophisticated writer with a distinctive voice. ONE LAST KISS can be read and enjoyed by a wide variety of readers, even those who don't usually read "mystery" novels.

Ms. Kelman's next novel, SUMMER OF STORMS, will be available in March 2001.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another winner from Judith Kelman., December 8, 1998

Once again, Judith Kelman has written a masterful tale of murder and madness, skillfully juggling her many characters and subplots. She kept me turning the pages and wondering how she was going to tie everything together at the end.

5.0 out of 5 stars a very good story, entertaining book to read, June 12, 1999
This review is from: One Last Kiss (Paperback)
opposingly to the other people who reviewed this book, i don't feel something is missing or that absolutely everything should be explained in details. Use your imagination for god's sake! The character of the serial killer is very bright, very clever and therefore knew how to act and when to do it. Where's the big problem in all this?!? Judith Kelman, as Mary Higgins Clark herself said, is excellent at what she's doing. I'm happy she finally get published in europe!

4.0 out of 5 stars Still left wondering, May 13, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: One Last Kiss (Paperback)
Although I really enjoyed the story, at the end I was a bit confused also as to how the murderer managed to pull things off without being noticed setting the scenes. All in all, I found the ending very confusing and if anyone can explain it to me, I would be delighted

5.0 out of 5 stars One Last kiss, November 21, 2002

This review is from: One Last Kiss (Paperback)
The book that I read called One Last Kiss by Judith Kelman was one of the most exciting and threatening book tthat I have read in my life. It's about a little girl who was splitted up from her mom for about 3 years. A year or so later Thea Harper was back in jail and her daughter was taken away. Another 5 years later thea and her daughter was back home. While that same nght she woke up with blood all over her hands and did not know what had happened.
There were a little bad things in it like murders and good things like when Gabby was back home with her mother. To me this was a very good book. It explains things really well and you will get a hand of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars RIVETING!, July 22, 2000
This review is from: One Last Kiss (Paperback)
This book will certainly hold your attention. However, it seemed quite implausible in places. It was never explained how ...she ask her stupid snake drawing..."Sophie [the snake] kept it to herself." Anybody who would expect a drawing to provide her with answers is clearly a few trucks short of a convoy. I didn't like Thea's cliche spouting mother. She sounded like a naive ninny who was definitely a few trucks short of a convoy. "Checker" was a stupid nickname for a competent adult character trying to survive in an incompetent world of mad doctors, fellow patients, inept police officers and the Senator's mother and a deceptive teacher. Implausible, yes. Entertaining reading, yes. I enjoyed it in spite of Thea's stupid mother and the unanswered questions regarding how ....
