4.0 out of 5 stars Not his best but still Pretty Good
C-Bo comes back again to release One Life 2 Live. Not his best album to date it does have it's highpoints. Has one classic track and one great song but has about 2-4 songs I skip. Features too many of his fellow AWOL artists (only has one solo out of 12 songs), and that takes the quality down. Production is pretty damn good and is handled by Mike Mosely and DJ Darryl...

3.0 out of 5 stars Average album; C-Bo's done better before
One Life 2 Life is a just a average album for C-Bo, who has previously released all stellar material. It has a few bumpin' tracks, but it has just as many sleepers. One of the problems with One Life 2 Live is that C-Bo sounds like he's losing his edge on some tracks, such as the blatantly commercial "Club Hoppin". Too many of the other tracks seem watered...

I'd recommend it for his fans but he as better albums to get if you are new to him ("Til My Casket Drops", "Gas Chamber", "Enemy of the State", "Life as a Rider", "Final Chapter" -- they're his best ones).

C-Bo's One Life 2 Live is a neat endeavor throught the streets of Sacramento's hood. The beats range from hardcore G-Funk, to a few more laid back funky party beats. Lyrically though, he sticks to the script and delivers us good old fashioned gangsta rap. Fans of West Coast hard core and G-Funk should find satisfaction in this release. Club Hoppin' is a fun, bouncy track with a beat reminiscent of Mtume's or George Clinton's 80's work with a funky guitar riff on the side. I Can't See the Light is dope, with a menacing beat and stone cold rhyming.

One of the problems with One Life 2 Live is that C-Bo sounds like he's losing his edge on some tracks, such as the blatantly commercial "Club Hoppin". Too many of the other tracks seem watered down from his earlier albums. Real fans will appreciate the album's handful of adrenilane pumping tracks, but it won't dethrone any of his previous works.

C-Bo is tight but this cd is hella regular and short. there are only twelve songs which worked in tales from the crypt (his best cd) however he had used a few of these songs elsewhere and this is the cd where fred smith seemed like he did not try real hard for very long on his cd. on this cd and especially now since Bo comes out with a cd every eight months it does not seem like he tries really hard to make a particularly good product, and i now see why this is the last awol cd i got because this was his worst with them

This album is sick! If you like C-Bo, you'll like this one, and even if you've never heard of him you'll like it.
