3.0 out of 5 stars Digestive progressive, January 26, 2009
Effectively employing slight complexities to sometimes engaging melodic rock makes this prog-light outfit work, if not require seeking.

4.0 out of 5 stars Last review was unfair., June 11, 2005
With this album the band changed their sound from mellotron heavy/70s symphonic prog. to a heavier guitar oriented sound. The progression in sound could loosely be compared to that of King Crimson's from ITCOTCK to Red. This album is a bit inconsistent to the extent of being boring at places and the singing is nothing amazing.

1. Time - very catchy, upbeat, folky melody.
2. Kontiki - this track is what invites the comparisons to Red.
3. Mirror man - brooding and slow. Not too memorable, but not too bad either.
4. You are - one of my favourites from the album, builds up as it goes on.
5. Rememberence - the worst track on the album.
6. Valentinsong - slow, moody and depressing. Its a bit too long. Similar to Opeth's songs on Dammnation, but they did half a dozen years earlier
7. Tell - their best song ever. The opeining best riff I've ever heard. This track is the reason to get this album. A bit of jamming like in Wilco's new album. The playing is so amazing that it is almost disappointing when the singer comes up. This track has been on repeat for months on my playlist.

Score: 6.5/10 + Tell + Tell + Tell + Tell + Tell + Tell.

2.0 out of 5 stars Sorry for the low rate, but to me prog music is another thing, December 17, 2002
By Lethe "lor68" (Milan, Italy) - See all my reviews
Sorry for the low rate, but if you regard this tepid work as an experimental swedish prog band, you have to forget the grandeur of another excellent scandinavian band, Anglagard. The present album by Landberk tries to emulate the chromaticity and the accuracy as well, concerning the sound research typical of bands such as CATHEDRAL US 70'(this one actually being a bit more experimental and dark as well), but the output is not far away from some stuff of the early eighties new-wave, or 70's pop with a few prog colors at least (a dark version of Fantasy's "Paint a Picture" )...probably the lyrics should have been stylistically improved some years later only, in comparison to the present reviewed album, in the album "Indian Summer". The music score of "One man tell's another" is simple, even if the band maintains a dramatic sense during their music "narration", by means also of 70's instrumentation such as mellotron and so on...

If you love 70's pop with prog colors, in the manner of the band "Fantasy" and the 90's "Men of lake", by adding a certain dark mood, you can appreciate this album, otherwise stay far away from this work!!
