One Man's Journey is a thought-provoking ride through life-both observational and personal. The book is written to be accessible and universal. The journey covers the author's experiences through the '70s, '80s, and '90s to the present. Prosaic poetry with haunting expressions like "Sunset Image Pass Me By" and "Cobblestone Echoes" convey the challenge of loneliness. Other pieces delight in life, such as "Cathy Colorado" and "Freedom Wave," which speak of intimacy and youthful passion, and the deep connection love brings when a man opens his heart. "Don't want to Sleep Tonight" and "Beginning of Love" show a mature man full of sensitivity and poignancy. "Grandchild" comes full circle, from the rowdy chaos of youth to the wisdom of being a grandfather. This poem conveys a wish that one day the grandchild will be able to experience the joy that a little one brings into the lives of grandparents.

I bought this in error as I thought it was by the singer James Taylor. A bad mistake as this is a puerile and infantile collection of the worst poetry I have ever read. Most 5th graders poetry is better and more enjoyable. Give this a MISS! I gave it one star only because you have to give it something!
