Barbara Keaton just gets better!!!,
This review is from: One in a Million (Paperback)
What happens when you meet a man that's One In A Million?!
Well, if you're attorney Deena Walls, you won't let a previous bad experience let you pass up a good man! Attorney Deena Walls, (whose also part of a high powered legal family!) while working on a high-profile attempted murder case, meets Detective Charles Harris, a sexy, single dad. During the course of the investigation, a romance develops between Deena and Charles..........get your fans out.....the love scenes are well written and soooooooooooo steamy!! There are also twists and turns in the story with some wonderful surprises and a very different take on one of the characters in the book who is a self proclaimed "monster." ( I don't want to give too much away....BUY THE BOOK!) Seriously, this books really rocks! Barbara Keaton is just getting better and better!!!!

One in a Milion,
This review is from: One in a Million (Paperback)
This was a good read. I just thought it was kind of unbelievable. The families were just too perfect for me. Deena immediate family members are all lawyers including her parents, her sister and boyfriend are bounty hunters. Deena's neice goes to a magnet school for gifted kids. Four of Charles immediate family members are cops, his father a retired Judge and his sister-in-law is a doctor....everyone is a goody two shoes. Other than that it was an enjoyable read.

Could it really be love?,
By Claudia Brown-Mosley "Author" (Los Angeles, California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: One in a Million (Paperback)
Deena is high profile/celebrities of a lawyer in a family practice that comes across as the women that you don't want to mess with. Deena was married once but he turned out to be the last man she vowed to take on serious in her life time. Deena is a great person but she does have her own issues that follow her up until the end of the book.
Charles is a great detective that has been married once and out of that marriage came a child/son that left him a single father. Between beening a father/detective is all he looks forward to in his life time. Until one day he is sitting at his desk and Deena comes in for a fight to get her client out of jail. The sight of this beautiful young woman turns his world upside down and inside out. Now Charles has to figure out how he's going to get her to want him as much as he wants her, he already know that she's out of his league but that gives him more to fight with. The book is a great read if you are looking for romance and a little police action in the mix. There's characters that is very well developed and some that's not that really throws the book. Its needs more substance of background work on the characters, if this was done it would flow so freely. Although I'm complaining about this one book, the author is a great writer and has other titles out there for your enjoyment so look them up.

One In A Million...,
This review is from: One in a Million (Paperback)
Deena Walls has it going on. She is a high-powered attorney that comes from a wealthy, loving family. The only thing that Deena doesn't have is a serious love interest. She's been there-done that and is not doing it again, that is, until she meets Detective Charles Harris. He's tall, easy on the eyes, and exactly what Deena is not looking for. After several chance meetings and some that were not so chance, Deena and Charles become an item. However, there is a secret that Deena has that she thinks will make the difference between happily ever after and Charles walking away.
One In A Million has several subplots developing along with the main plot. There are also a number of secondary characters that are introduced. Some of the secondary characters were not developed as well as I think they should have been because of the role that they had at the beginning of the story. There were also times that the story didn't really flow smoothly which I think had to do with the under development of some of the secondary characters. However, the overall storyline in One In A Million was enjoyable. Reviewed by Tenecia for Urban Reviews

I enjoyed this story, it made for a great Sunday read. This book was a well written romance with a few good sub-plots that gave this storyline credibility. The main characters were believable, and the realistic dialogue made for a fast read. The romance gets your attention right away, and the sub-plots keep you guessing throughout.
This was my first time reading anything by this author and I look forward to reading more. My only complaint is that whoever the publisher chose to edit and transcribe the text may have used spell check, but they certainly didn't use grammar check. There were many places where words were missing leaving incomplete sentences, and other places in the text where there were extra words. So you had to imagine what the sentence was supposed to be. Then there were the sentences that ended mid way at the end of a paragraph, and picked up at the beginning of the next paragraph. Before this book went to print someone really should have proof read the final. Doesn't look good for the publisher or the author. With all that said, I would still recommend that you read this book. You will enjoy the story!

A Chance Of A Lifetime,
By The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers (RAWSISTAZ.com and BlackBookReviews.net) - See all my reviews
This review is from: One in a Million (Paperback)
Deena Walls wasn't looking for love when she entered the police station to aide a client who had been arrested for her alleged part in an attempted murder case. She especially kept the invisible wall erected for the fine drink-of-water, Detective Charles Harris, who was handling the case. Although sparks flew, she wasn't about to let her guard down to be hurt again. After a few meetings, Charles knew two things: he wanted Deena in his life and he had his work cut out for him. Taking the only advice he found reasonable, he chose to "slow walk" Ms. Walls.
As the circumstances of the case change and become more volatile, Charles pursues Deena as patiently and passionately as he does his work. No stone is left unturned. He awakens her every desire and she his, as readers are taken through the process with him. What the two find, Larry Graham describes it best in his song about finally finding true love after life's ups and downs with these words, "A one in a million, chance of a lifetime." In ONE IN A MILLION, Barbara Keaton keeps hope and love alive in this novel about believing in love again when you get a second chance at it. I loved the two main characters; I believe their story was flushed out very well. Some of the other characters, while interesting and lovable, could have stood some more development. I liked the fact that she wove their story around a mystery with lots of actions and suspense. The romance began building on the first page and continued on to love scenes that were out of this world. They sizzled. Romance readers will enjoy this one. This was my first book ever read by this author and she did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Deena and Charles and the show of family support and a good view of a single father. It was a good fast read. I will definitely be purchasing this author from now on.
