I got this CD specifically for the One Million Years B.C. Soundtrack. If you're at all familiar with the film, you will recall the score is haunting and majestic. The title and climax themes include what I imagine to be the actual rumbling sfx that accompany these pieces in the film which is sort of cool, but also a bit disappointing as it swamps the entirety of both pieces. Also the score itself is not very dynamic and rather repetitious - but I do love it, so I am happy with it.

Also included is When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth, which is an entirely different, more playful score, fitting the film itself. It's ok but doesn't really move me.

Honestly, I haven't given Creatures the World Forgot more than a cursory listen. The film was the last and least entertaining of Hammer's prehistoric-people movies and I suppose it's just left a bad impression on me and I haven't found the time to bother with it.

All in all this product delivered what I expected - that beautiful music from my childhood favorite movie.

For fans of these films and their music this disc delivers. Plenty of tracks and the performances are very good. Only one thing missing - although if you're not a nut about this stuff you won't probably won't care: I was really hoping that the sunrise-sacrifice procession music from "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" would be on this disc. I've been wanting a recording of it - sans the screaming - ever since I first saw the film in August of 1972. I am still hoping that a disc of the original studio-recording master tapes will be released, as was (miraculously) done with the same material from another classic film of that era: Vincent Price's "Dr. Phibes Rises Again".
