We may spend years on education but never experience our true selves in the process. Ms. Laura's book can be easily read in one evening and open the door to a profound self discovery including a world of peace and joy. She gives a number of everyday situations that cause stress, aging and misery and then illustrates a remedy that opens new possibilities for halting and reversing these processes. In matters of self growth and spirituality, simplicity is seldom found in both the theory and practice. This is where the book shines. Also,her style is warm, positive and very encouraging. As a corporate manager for many years, I would compare the efficacy of her book for self development to the classics on one minute managing. A little awareness and simple practice goes a long way toward improvement. This book is easy to read and understand and the recommended practices are simple and consume very little time (One minute each!) If nothing else, this book teaches you how powerful a one small slice of your time and intension can be while motivating you forward to apply it in the most painful areas of your life. Is it really that simple? Only you can decide for yourself. I hope it works as well for others as it does for me.

This book is very fast and easy reading. I like the abiltiy to apply the technigue described immediately. I have read many personal developement books over the years, and I find Ellen's to one of the most powerful, easy to practice and it works!

Like material been done, and better, elsewhere. In spite of the lack of originality, reading inspirational material can be uplifting, and if that's what you want, this book is for you. Part of my disappointment comes from mistaking the book for a book about energy healing, (it is not) some of which have similar titles, through no fault of the author. Please see other reader's reviews.
