4.0 out of 5 stars A pretty good Debut, August 15, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: One Minute Science (Audio CD)
I just bought this today on a whim. Mostly because they are tourring with A Perfect Circle. It is a very good album that has a variaty of musical styles. It starts with a good classic semi-industrial headbanger then a soft ballad, this pattern continues for a while ( Hard, Soft, Hard, Soft, .ect..) And then turns into an album of soft/experimental songs. If you only hear the commercial song "Power Struggle" Don't expect the whole album to be like it. The point is you have to read into this album, it is very powerfull with some great lyrics, but if you just want fast handbanging industrial, there are only a couple songs. The best tracks are Too Much, I'm Not Trading, and their single Power Struggle. ( check out the creepy video for that...) This is a good debut, and this band has some great talent and could be five stars on the next release. If you liked Perfect Circle's Mer De Noms, you should like this.

These were the words that i said to the guy's from SUNNA as i met them outside of there gig at the Leeds Cockpit. But less of that, This album is truly GOD LIKE from POWER STRUGGLE which i first saw on MTV2 to the charming but very dark OD,how you people could not like these is beyond me, you probably like FAT BALD SMELLY DURST and probably his Best friend his stinking red hat!!!!!!!. but really this album truly defines British Alt ROCK.Influences From NIRVANA to MASSIVE ATTACK. And for that retard Redmand From D.C HIS NAME JON F#CKING HARRIS.That is all i have to say about that

4.0 out of 5 stars Not a Bad First Album..., August 22, 2000

I have to admit, the only reason that I bought this CD was because I had tickets to see A Perfect Circle, and this band was the opening act. I had never heard of these guys (obviously, they are a new band), and so, I wanted to hear what I would be seeing at the show. And, happily, I like what I heard. If you are a fan of heavy music, then this may not be for you. This is a surprisingly mellow disc, but there are a few heavier tracks. I especially enjoy the song "Power Struggle," which also appears on the "Hollow Man" soundtrack, and the first song on the disc, "I'm Not Trading" has quickly become a favorite of mine. And after seeing these guys perform live, I like them all the more. They sounded great and put on a good show. Also, they seem to really be very appreciative of the support that they are getting from the Tool/A Perfect Circle fans. I like them a lot, and think that they are a band to watch in the future.
