If you haven’t guessed it yet, we’re mighty big fans of Glenn Yarbrough’s mighty tenor, having reissued his early record for Elektra and his key albums with the Limeliters. So, when we saw that his first solo record for RCA hadn’t yet come out on CD, we figured we’d make a clean sweep and cover his entire early career by reissuing it, too. And we’re doing it right by having Glenn contribute quotes especially for Allan Shaw’s notes. The complete 1964 release, a Collectors’ Choice Music exclusive!

This cd was a serendipidous find...I have loved Glenn Yarbrough's music since the early 60s and have most of his vinyl albums but had been unable to locate them on cd so that I could transfer his wonderful music to my ipod. Was THRILLED to find them at Amazon.com.....Thanks guys!!

I owned this album in the 60's-70's when I lived in San Francisco...my 33 1/3 is gone now...what a blessing to come across the cd...great music.

One of the best voices of the folk era singing lovely ballads, this album is beautiful. Forty five years after I first heard Glenn do "Love's Been Good to Me" and "The Lovers", I still want to play them again and again. Then I was looking forward to discovering love; now I look back on a rich life. Both songs are just right on. The rest of the album offers the joy of listening to Glenn's rich tenor telling simple tales. This album is fine to hear if you're alone but would be even better to share with someone who could appreciate it as much as you do.
