Barbara has still got it!, August 29, 2002

The first track "In Walked Bud" by Thelonious Monk is just stunning with Ken Peplowski's clarinet playing taking the piece to another dimension. It's amazing how after all these years Barbara still takes the kinds of musical risks she does with utter confidence. Her piano playing is sublime and her singing believe or not is better now than when she recorded those early RCA albums in the 50's. Her integrity shines through in every record she makes. And, in this day and age, that is a rarity.
