I've enjoyed Marsha Qualey's books in the past and this one was no exception.

The opening grabbed me, the surprising action kept me turning pages, and the ending delivered a satisfying conclusion. Excellent writing and characterization, plus the fun of a movie star who collects vintage children's series books like I do.

Marsha Qualey is a very talented author and I look forward to reading more of her books. GREAT STORY!

I went to a writers conference and met the author, Marsha Qualey, and when she talked about this book, it persauded me to buy it. When Kelly, a recovering heroin addict meets Prince Tomas, they spend a crazy day together. First its all for a story, for her aunt Kit, delivering a book to a recording artist who made her mad, but in the elevator she meets Prince Tomas, who is here for peace talks. They run from security guards and spend a night on the town. Where, Tomas tells Kelly about his sister, who is hurt from a mission trip, and forces Kelly to go in depth of her addiction. He brings up the pain and hurt she faced when family comes up. She almost killed her baby sister when she was on heroin because there was a fire and she was stoned and didn't know what was happening. What will happen when the morning comes?

Addiction and peace. Those are the two underlying themes of this book, expressed in many ways. Kelly is a fascinating main character because she has flaws and integrity. What is the horrifying memory from her past? She works for her aunt, who has one of those radio call-in shows, which could be an exciting life. But she's unprepared for meeting Tomas, a real, live prince who is in town for peace talks. When circumstances bring them together, the two are attracted to each other. They escape from Tomas' bodyguards and spend One Night on the town, talking and falling in ... love? Really liked this book.

Kelly Ray is a recovering heroine addict who works for her famous aunt on radio talk show. It is Kelly's job to pertain information on the people who are soon to be interviewed by her aunt. Her aunt wants an interview with the famous prince, and soon to be king, of Lakveria. The only problem is that he is under tight security and she has no way to get to him. This is where Kelly intervenes. She spends a whole night out on the town with the prince trying to get him on the show. At the same time the two become very close.

The book was, overall, very interesting, to put it simply. The characters in the book where very animated and fun. They were not the norm which made the characters that much better. Every character was important to the story or changed it in some way, and it shows that the author took time to make it that way. One thing that I personally did not like, however, was the lack of action. The book had much suspense but never went off into action scenes. There is one final thing that I especially like about the book, and it is a personal thing. Most people like a fast read, and I do too, but this book was slow in the sense that it took time to give all the facts. And when the author takes time like this it makes whatever happens that much better.

In recommendation, I say "Regardless of whom you are or how old or what you like etc., READ THIS BOOK!! You need to hear this story! It isn't long but it is all worth it!"
