Great Live CD,

I was fortunate to see these guys live in their heyday around 1986 and they put on a great show. I only wish I was at the special show that this cd documents. Black N' Blue never reached the level of success commercially that they deserved. Black N' Blue put out 4 great records in the 80's and this cd samples nicely from all of them and includes "Violent Kid" which was left off their first album. I got the Japanese cd's of "Black N' Blue", "Without Love"(which is by far their best album - a metal classic that inspired Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet), and "Nasty Nasty". They were re-issued about 2 years ago. I also have the initial cut-out cd of "In Heat" which is out of print. So this live cd completes my collection. My only complaint is the artificial crowd noise mixed in. But the performances and energy make this a must buy. Highlights are "Without Love", "Wicked Bitch", and their best known track "Hold On To 18". Get this now before it goes out of print.

This is good live stuff, but I would kiss a truck stop toilet seat to be able to purchase this bands first three studio releases.

I was there- and yes, it sounded this good!,

I first saw B&B in Texas, 1985, opening for Kiss. Two years ago I had by chance relocated to Portland where the band originated, and was lucky enough to attend this one-off reunion show at Key Largo (now called "Ohm".) Think and say what you will about the 80's "hair bands", but these guys were the real deal, and this performance proves it- Definitely seasoned pros! Unfortunately the reunion was only temporary, so I'd love to see their back catalogue reissued on CD!

It took me years of searching for some info about B'n'B since their first three kicka.. albums are in the "imposible" to find list, even on the internet. Its great to know that they are still alive (mean that literally) and that so many fans are in need of more of their music as well. This Live album really makes justice to the band as they sound even better than themselves?. Get it and see what I mean. GEEEEETAR!!! B'n'B drew the line when it came to the 80's HARD ROCK scene specialy when onstage. The act-itude mannnn! It would be great to have more off them going around. It would be great for another studio album from them to come out.??? A lot of "trendy" rock bands (and fans) going around today could really use listening to this "THIS IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS" BLACK'N'BLUE ROCK BAND... Sound like a fan? I AM!!!

It's too bad it's only one night,

Black N' Blue was one of the victims of the demise of pop metal in the late 1980s. It had a decent run -- four Geffen records -- and some moderate MTV airplay of two videos. This live album encompasses the best of those songs in a one-night show in the band's hometown of Portland, Oregon. The rawness of the LP makes you feel as if you attended the show. The band sounds great and looks great, too. They are out of the glam scene. Guitarist Tommy Thayer, who wrote a few songs for Kiss, has started EON records. We only can hope Black 'N Blue releases more music on this or any other label.

I normally don't like the sound of "Live" recordings, but this one out does it's self. It sounds great. They put alot of enthusiasm into this cd. It has been one of my favorite new purchases.

Great to hear Black and Blue again.,

I miss this band. One of the best kept secrets of the 80's. The sound is strong and for me not being a live album fan, this sounds great. Included are just about all of their best tracks, sounding better then ever. Hopefully this will cause the rerelease of their earlier work.

About Time !!,

One of the better 80s rock groups. These guys wrote good music and good songs but had the misfortune to be surrounded by a lot of look-a-like pop rock bands. The quality of this live album is better than expected and it's great to hear this music again. All my cassettes have worn out and died. It's about time that these guys are available on CD. Now, just remaster and release their prior studio albums on CD too !!

Black N Blue/The Best Unknown Secret,

After years of loving every tune these guys put out, to my amazement, by the luck of Spinner.com I was able to hear the live version of their Anthem "Hold on to 18" It was great. I immediately purchased the album and cannot quit listening to it. I think I have every album now with "In Heat" being their most recent besides the live album. They continue to amaze me and I will forever love the hard driving sounds of Black N Blue.

I enjoyed B 'N B ever since I first heard "I'll Be There For You". I wish that the record company would remaster the complete collection of Black 'N Blue. I think that this CD was very good considering that I hate live music unless I am there myself.
