2010 sophomore album from the young Yorkshire band One Night Only; the follow-up to 2008's Started A Fire, which spawned the huge hit "Just For Tonight". Produced by Ed Butler (Suede, White Lies, Pulp), One Night Only sees the band explore a more '80s-influenced, Synth-driven sound while hanging on to the big anthemic choruses that characterised their debut. Includes the single "Say You Don't Want It".

One Night Only are a UK indie band and their eponymous album is their second.

The comprises 11tracks of upbeat sunny Pop/Rock like opener "Say you want it" which is also the lead-off single. In a similar vein are "Bring ne back down", "Forget my name", "Chemistry" and "All I want" with catchy choruses and soaring vocals from George Craig.

"Never be the same" is a synth/piano ballad remniscent of Keane as is the more upbeat "Nothing left". The album's highlights are definitely the closing pair of the euphoric "Feeling fine" and "Can't stop now" which starts off a quivering ballad before synths and beats kick in for a catchy upbeat song. Nice and fun.

One Night Only writes good catchy guitar pop, with synth and chorus reminiscent of the 1980s. I was amazed to find this band in the midst of a sea of mediocrity and vulgarity that is our modern music scene of the early 21st century. There's no filth, no boring politics, no god-awful rap/hip-hop. Just good fun music.
